Swimsuit: c/o Beverly Swimwear
Roundie: c/o SwimZip
Sunglasses: H&M

Whoa.
Hey there.
Stranger.
Remember me?
My name is Ariel if you forgot...

But for real, welcome BACK to my blog!

I apologize for the month of radio silence on here but when you're juggling a bunch of priorities in life, one of them is bound to eventually fall, roll under under the couch, and get covered in a dust for a bit. And unfortunately, that priority ended up being my blog. But after some groveling and begging for forgiveness, Auteur Ariel and I have finally made amends and we are BACK IN BUSINESS baby!

With long breaks come a looooot of catching up to do. I have about 4-5 outfits still to post that feature my old hair and previous seasons so please bear with me as we take a visit to the past for a bit! :)

Today's post is from our trip back home to Hawaii for my brother's wedding (back in June, hehe)! During our short visit I was able to squeeze in a stop at one of my favorite beaches on the island. It's a bit of a walk to get to and most people/tourists don't know about it so it's perfect for a day of peace and relaxation. When you're from a vacation destination, it's almost impossible to go to a beach that isn't overrun by tourists so I always tend to spend my time in the lesser known areas of Hawaii. It's one of the perks of being able to call this island my home.

If you're going on vacation somewhere warm or you just live in a forever summer climate, make sure you check out Beverly Swimwear and SwimZip! Beverly Swimwear has custom-made swimmies that are so cute and flattering to the body, and SwimZip has awesome roundie towels that are necessary for the beach! Just because it's nearing the cold seasons, doesn't mean the beach partying needs to stop. ;)

Okay guys, I PROMISE this time I'm sticking to posting AT LEAST twice a week.
There.
I said it.
Now you can hold me to it.

Btw, I'm always posting on my Snapchat and Instagram so if you want to stay updated with my life make sure you follow me there!

As always guys, keep it classy.

Cheers.

Swim Top: c/o Kortni Jeane
Swim Bottoms: c/o Kortni Jeane
Hat: c/o Billabong
Sandals: Reef c/o Flip Flop Shop [similar]
Sunglasses: c/o FREYRS

Would you believe me if I said that literally 10 minutes after I took these photos, a huge rainstorm rolled in? Well you better believe it cus that's exactly what happened. In fact, I even documented it on my VLOG for that day! That's my hometown, Hilo for ya. One minute it's super sunny, the next it's pouring rain and vice versa.

On this beautiful day in Hawaii, I thought it was only appropriate that I wore this bright, fun swimsuit from Kortni Jeane! If you live in Utah and have an Instagram, then I'm sure you've seen or heard of Kortni Jeane swimsuits at least one time or another. They're known for their versatile mix and match pieces that are bold, fun, and super flattering! I had the hardest time choosing what combination of swimmies I wanted because there were so many styles to choose from! It just goes to show how Kortni Jeane caters to every type of personality, body type, and occasion you can possibly imagine. I ended up going with the Sweetheart Top in Citron and the High-Waisted Bottoms in Pineapple print, because if you're going somewhere tropical, you need at least one thing in pineapple print. I mean, that's just like the rules of feminism. #sofetch

Also, as we were walking along this beautifully isolated beach, we came across a little turtle friend! We didn't even notice him at first because he was so still (I thought he was a rock), but then he started waving his fins at us and it nearly gave me a heart attack! We chatted with him for a little bit then we let him have his space because if a bunch of strangers came up to me and ruined my sun-bathing time, I'd get a little annoyed.

I hope you're all having an awesome Tuesday!

ps. This is my last Hawaii post of my little vacation series! On Thursday I'll be posting my first Japan outfit! Woo!

Cheers.

A Bikini Kinda Life

Bikini Top: c/o Billabong
Shorts: c/o Billabong
Sunglasses: c/o FREYRS

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great Super Bowl weekend!

I'm laughing to myself while I'm putting together this blog post because lately its been 10-20 degrees F in Utah and here I am posting pictures of myself in a swimsuit. Oh the irony.

When I think of swimsuits and beachwear, Billabong always pops into my head. Growing up, Billabong was always one of my favorite swim + surf brands and I'd always drool over their cute apparel! So of course I couldn't resist sporting a little Billa-love while I was in Hawaii this past Christmas! I'm just in love with how they have such a chill, laid back vibe which is perfect for going to the beach and driving around the island. Like seriously, how cute is this paisley bikini top and high-waisted shorts? Billabong is my Go-To when it comes to local style and if you live in a tropical climate or you're heading to one sometime soon, you should definitely check them out!

Have a great week everyone! You can survive it!

Cheers.

Swimsuit: c/o Lime Ricki
Sunglasses: c/o FREYRS
Headwrap: made it myself ;) [similar]

This gingham swim set from Lime Ricki made me feel like I was back in the 50s! When I put it on, I felt like it needed to be paired with a bold red headwrap so I literally went to the fabric store, got some stretchy fabric, and made one myself--no sewing necessary! Everything about this swimsuit screams glam--even the back has the cutest little details! Make sure you check out Lime Ricki if you're in need of some awesome swimmies for a trip, cruise, or if you're just prepping early for Spring and Summer!

I took these photos at one of my favorite little beaches in Hawaii! It's one of those places that's tucked away from plain sight and is almost always empty aka, it's perfect. I love having spots like this to come to whenever I go back because it really makes you feel like you're at home! :)

Warm weather, I miss you soooooo.

If you missed it, make sure you check out my JAPAN HAUL VIDEO!
I basically share all the wonderful things I bought during my trip to Japan! Woo!

Cheers.

Jacket: c/o Cotopaxi
Shirt: c/o Cotopaxi
Jeans: Free People c/o Zappos
Sneakers: Converse
Sunglasses: c/o FREYRS
Backpack: c/o Cotopaxi

As I am typing up this blog post I am watching the cheer movie that started it all, the original "Bring It On."
Was this movie always super cheezy or was this level of cheeziness socially acceptable in the year 2000 so we were all blinded?
Either way, this movie is the best.
Missy's the poo.

Welcome to another blog post from my Hawaii vacay this past Christmas!
Today I'm highlighting the awesomely wonderful company, Cotopaxi! I've worked with Cotopaxi a few times already on my blog and every time I wear their gear, I just wanna go out and adventure the world--in this case, Hawaii! I'm also always a huge fan of companies that give back to those in need. Cotopaxi funds solutions that address the most persistent needs of those living in extreme poverty and I think that is freakin' awesome. One of their mottos is "Gear for Good" and that's exactly what they are! I've also had the chance to be part of a video that highlight their products and even got to visit their headquarters and check out where the magic happens! Their gear is cool and the people behind them are even cooler.

Today I'm sporting Cotopaxi's Tikal Active Shell Jacket in the color Thin Mint (anyone craving cookies?) and I'm seriously in love with this baby. I actually saw this jacket while I was touring their headquarters and knew I had to have it the moment I laid eyes on it! It's extremely lightweight and waterproof, which was perfect for home because despite popular belief, it rains A LOT on my side of the island--so I wore this jacket almost every time I went outside. This jacket is ESSENTIAL to those of you who live in rainy areas and for those days where it's sunny, but a little breezy. Their Nazca 24L Travel Pack that I'm wearing made traveling and flying so much easier. I took it on as one of my carry-ons on my flight to Hawaii AND Japan, and it fit everything I needed and stored away like a dream. I'll be writing up another post later on that highlights this pack a little more, as well as shares what I packed in it so look out for that! Aaaaaand of course, you can't overlook how awesome this Do Good T-shirt is because... you just can't. :)

Check out more products from Cotopaxi HERE and support a company that does good for the world!

And now, back to the spirit fingers...

ps. If you haven't yet, be sure to check out my HAWAII TRAVEL VLOGS!

Cheers. (lol)

Tropical Romper

Wednesday, January 27, 2016

Romper: c/o Eva Jo Rompers
Sunglasses: c/o FREYRS
Sandals: Flip Flop Shop [similar]
Necklace: similar

Something I learned during my trip home to Hawaii?
Rompers are the PERFECT swimsuit cover-up!

You can go from fancy to beachy in a few seconds with these babies! I never thought about it before but it really came in handy when we went from the beach straight to dinner after and all I had to do was throw on my romper! And guys, this Eva Jo Romper is ROMPER GOALS. I've styled their Cece romper in Army Green on my blog before so I was super excited to show off this charcoal Sylvie romper in Hawaii!

The Sylvie is their signature romper: the cross-over v-neck snaps closed, so easy on and easy off (perfect for beachin' aaaaaand for all you nursing mommas). There is no elastic waist (just a tie), so it's great for any waist size, including you pregger ladies. Besides charcoal, it comes in blue, black, pink, and floral--collect them all! ;) Eva Jo Rompers are perfect for every occasion and a tropical vacation DREAM because of how versatile and comfy they are.

And for all of you who are stuck in a frozen tundra, Eva Jo Rompers can be layered and styled in a winter fashion! Just throw on a scarf, thick coat, and boots and you're ready to go! :) Plus they offer free shipping sooooooo... what are you waiting for?

Don't forget to check out my HAWAII VLOGS on my YouTube Channel and follow along during my trip home!

Cheers.
