Pardon my Trench...

Friday, February 26, 2016

Trench Coat: c/o LuLu*s [similar]
Top: Uniqlo
Jeans: c/o Tobi
Shoes: c/o Tobi
Fedora: Forever 21

Look at me all punny with my post title. I'm such a hoot, I know.

Today's outfit I feel very "me" in. I'm not saying the rest of the outfits I wear I don't feel like myself--just today's one I feel like screams "ARIELLLLL" for some reason. Does that make sense? I don't know if it's the dominant color of black represented, or the high-waisted jeans, or the platform combat boots. Or maybe it's just all of it. I'm just really digging the vibe of this outfit and feel like it really represents the vibe of my style I've been digging lately! Do you guys have a go-to outfit that you feel extremely comfortable and confident in? Or am I just super alone on this, haha.

But let's be real, 95% of the time I'm in my sweatpants so let's be thankful I didn't post an outfit of that...

My two favorite parts of this outfit--the jeans and boots--are from Tobi and I'm majorly obsessed. I seriously want everything from their store right now because everything is so dang cute! Like this jacket and these boots! I'm coveting them hard core. Visit Tobi ASAP for all your wardrobe facelift needs!

TGIF, guys! Enjoy the weekend!

Cheers.

Bright + Bold

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Top: Uniqlo
Skirt: c/o Tobi
Belt: Thrifted [similar]

I'm pretty sure I've already rambled about this subject several times on my blog, but the struggle is real when it comes to adding color to my wardrobe. Especially bright, bold colors and especially during the winter (when it's so easy to hideaway in neutral everything). But whenever I do wear something very colorful and vibrant, I'm always surprised by how much I actually like it! Like this skirt from Tobi for instance--I got it because I really needed more midi skirts but I was a little skeptical about the color because it's not something I would usually wear. But lo and behold, when I tried it on I instantly fell in love with how lively it made my outfit look! It just made me feel bold and fun which is something I've desperately been needing during this drab, drab winter. I'm not gonna lie, this is probably one of my favorite outfits I've worn on my blog so far!

Check out more skirts and bottoms from Tobi for this winter (and upcoming spring)! They've got a great collection of sophisticated, yet fun pieces that will liven up any wardrobe despite what season it is! I need more clothes from them, ASAP.

This is a super random piece of information but today I'm getting some shots for a trip I'm going on really soon and I'm sorta kinna freaking out because I hate hate HAAAAATE shots. It's weird because I don't have a fear of needles (I've gotten my ears pierced voluntarily a good amount of times) just a fear of SHOTS. Always have, always will. And it's super dumb because EVERY TIME I go through the same thing where I freak out and get crazy anxiety right before I get a shot and then as soon as it's over I'm like, wow that wasn't bad at all... I'm such a mess haha.
Anyway, just thought I would share my weird phobia of shots with you all.

This will be me before the shot:
And me after the shot:

Love you all.

Cheers.

Holiday Fashion w/ SWELL: Family Party

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

Sweater: c/o SWELL
Pants: c/o SWELL
Boots: c/o Tobi
Earrings: c/o Kelsey's Feathers

Fa la la la laaaaa la la la la.

It's the holiday season and you know what that means!
Holiday season = Holiday parties.
woop woop!
I feel like there is a party every weekend till Christmas and I ain't even mad.

To help you prep for those events, I'm teaming up with SWELL to bring you a 3-part series where I share some holiday-inspired looks to wear to specific parties! Today I'm wearing an outfit to be worn to a family party! It's comfy, cozy, and perfectly casual. When I think of family parties I think of running around the house with kids, catching up on life with cousins, and playing all sorts of games like a white elephant gift exchange! This outfit is perfect for all those activities because it's so laid-back which is what a family party should be is all about.

I really love the cowl neck on this sweater because it's different from any other sweater I own. It adds that extra umph of cozy to the look which I love! Also, these velvet pants are actually the first velvet-thing I've owned in my closet! So that's a major stepping stone for me! They're super comfy which I was kind of nervous about because I've heard velvet is bit itchy, but the lining inside is a silky material that feels like butter on my skin (is that weird to share?). I don't know what it is about it but I feel like velvet material screams Christmas, so I was excited to add this piece to my outfit.

What are some of your favorite clothes to wear to a holiday family party?

ps. At the end of this series (Friday) I will be hosting a huge giveaway with SWELL so you'll definitely want to tune in for that!

Check back tomorrow for my Social Party look!
If you don't I'll throw elf ears in your face...
JK, but really you should swing by tomorrow.

Cheers.

Happy Plush Animal Lover's Day!
Yep, that is today's random holiday and you have to admit, it's a good one.
So be sure to show some extra love to your stuffed animal!
and don't deny that you have one, because we all know you do ;)

Today I'm dressed pretty much head-to-toe in clothes from Tobi! Tobi has always been one of my favorite places to shop online so I was so excited when they asked me to work with them! All of their clothes are on point and they're always up to date on the latest trends. Today I'm wearing Tobi's First Frost Pom Beanie, which I can't wait to wear more when the snow starts falling, March to My Beat Boots, which I've worn almost every single day since I've gotten them, and Pierce Plaid Sweater, which is insanely comfy and rad, as I stated in my post title. Let's just say I'm obsessed with everything from Tobi and wish I could fill my entire wardrobe with their clothes. A girl can dream, right?

What is sleep?

Monday, October 27, 2014

Scarf: c/o Lemon Drop Boutique
Pants: c/o Tobi
Cardigan: old
Shoes: c/o LuLu*s
Earrings: c/o Song Yee Designs

The word 'sleep' has been rare and sparse this past weekend.
On Friday, a bunch of us went over to Bri's house to carve pumpkins, roast marshmallows, and celebrate Jessica's completion of her anatomy test that she's been studying foreverrrrr for. We all ended up staying there till 4am. 4 IN THE MORNING. I don't remember the last time I stayed out that late since we've been married, but when you're in good company, having a blast playing N64, and ordering spontaneous pizza at 2am, it happens. We then continued the late night spree to Saturday when we went to a Halloween Party and stayed partying till 2am.
Like seriously guys.
What is sleep?
Cus I'm having trouble finding it or knowing what it is.

Anywho, today's outfit is a fun one because it involves two super dupers. These super duper comfy pants and this super duper cute scarf. These Take a Hike Pants from Tobi are like liquid on your legs... which I know sounds really weird but I promise it's a good thing. They're one of those pants that you can wear out and about and feel stylish, yet when you come home you can keep them on for lounging cus they're that comfortable. Get yourself a pair and I promise your legs will thank you. This Striped Pattern Infinity Scarf from Lemon Drop Boutique is too adorable for words. It's the perfect accessory to add to a simple outfit to spice it up a little!
