Spring Fashion: Music Festival Style with Sears

Can you believe it? The weather is finally beginning to warm up! No more bundling up in layers and layers of clothes and missing out on opportunities to show off your cute outfit of the day! I'm crossing my fingers that it only gets warmer from here because the warmer the weather gets, the closer it gets to spring fashion! My favorite trends of spring would have to be ones that are worn during music festival season. There is something about music festivals that just brings out everyone's inner-Bohemian selves! Staples like fringe, skirts, and prints, are just few of the trends that take over during this time.

I made a trip to my local Sears on a mission to find some fun, fresh boho pieces to add to my spring wardrobe. I was so excited when I found such a wide variety of clothes that were perfect for the upcoming music festival season! They had everything from fringe tops to crocheted skirts to denim vests--I was in boho-heaven.

Here are a few of the pieces I ended up getting, as well as some of the trend predictions I have for this year's music festival season. I mixed and matched the new staples I got from Sears (Bongo has the best selection of boho-chic pieces), as well as some existing pieces in my current wardrobe. There's nothing like blending the old with the new, to create a sweet array of outfit combinations.

Trend #1: Fringe

I love how light and fun this fringe crocheted cardigan is--it gives the look such a laid-back feel! Fringe is always a versatile trend because it can be included on almost every piece of apparel! You can sport a fringe top, fringe bag, fringe boots, and in this case, fringe cardigan. ;)

Trend #2: Long Skirts

I was so excited when I scored this long-over-short skirt! I love how the long crocheted layer adds amazing texture to the skirt, making it stand out from the outfit! Long skirts are perfect if you want to go for a little more elegant look that day. They also keep your legs a little warmer if there's a bit of a chill in the air--especially at night. Oh, how I adore any and all types of long skirts.

Trend #3: Prints

This aztec print top was a bonus because it also had a fringe element to it! Print tops add the perfect touch of zest to any outfit. I love how this top really pops out, but doesn't overshadow the rest of the outfit! The only thing to remember about prints is to not mix and match too much of them in one outfit because you might run into the problem of looking a little tacky!
