There's nothing like spending the day soaking up the summer sun by the pool, on the beach, or in your backyard! Although overexposure of the sun has some bad consequences, the right amount of exposure has some great benefits! Did you know sunlight can help with depression? Sunlight deprivation can cause a condition called seasonal affective disorder (SAD), a form of depression--this occurs a lot in winter months and with people who work long hours in office buildings. Sunlight also increases oxygen content in human blood and builds your immune system--how awesome is that? Remember though that exposure to sun should be done slowwwly and you should slowwwly build up your tolerance to it! If you do spend a long amount of time in the sun, use SUNBLOCK! Nobody wants to be the lobster guy.
