I have a very hard time moving on.....
....from my clothes.

I am the type of girl who will keep a ratty old piece of clothing if there even is a slightest chance that I'll wear it again. Whoops got a permanent stain on my favorite top? I'll just save it to wear when I'm doing a messy art project or something. Found a pair of jeans I haven't worn for 6 months? I'll keep in just em case it'll go well with some shirt I buy in the future.

Whenever I clean out my closet it's an all day event because I go to battle on whether I should keep or toss EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM. It's exhausting but that's just who I am. I have a hard time letting go of things. Even if it's just clothes.

So today's outfit is dedicated to me not moving on....from my Summer wardrobe.
I got this super cute white dress from ASOS a little while ago and although it is very "Summery," I still wanted to wear it in the Fall, because of course, I can't move on from it. So I added some Fall-esque pieces to it to make it more appropriate for the Autumn season!

Leather and hats are two of my favorites for the Fall so I had to add my Black Swan Vegan Leather Jacket and Rhythm The Pocket Fedora, both from LuLu*s, to this outfit! You can't forget the little details to any look so I wore this Hammered Disc Necklace and Crystal Point Necklace from Song Yee Designs--both pieces that I'm obsessed with and probably won't move on from for a loooong time. I finished it off with some booties I thrifted a few years ago and voila!
A Summer dress turned Fall-esque.

So here I am.
A girl who keeps every piece of clothing she has until they're falling apart at the seams....

.....and yet I still have these days:

The struggle is real, guys.

Cheers.

  1. Amen, sista. My husband's like "why are you still keeping this top from high school that doesn't even fit anymore??" and I'm like "YOU NEVER KNOW. I might need it suddenly some day." And when that day comes - I'll be prepared.

  9. LoL, I can't even remember the last time that I got rid of a piece of clothing :P I think on average, most of my clothes is at least 5 years old. I justify it by thinking that someday, they'll be considered "vintage" :)
