Skulls + Stripes // GIVEAWAY

Thursday, July 30, 2015

Top: c/o Groopdealz
Shorts: American Eagle
Backpack: Fjallraven via Shopbop
Shoes: Converse via Shopbop
Bracelets: c/o I Am Jes

Hello lovely people.

Is it embarrassing that I'm currently listening to the Backstreet Boys Never Gone album while I'm writing this post? No. No it's not.

First, I'd like to give a shoutout to Tara Brooke for doing a bomb.com job on my new hurrrrr. I actually got it done a couple weeks ago but haven't gotten a chance to post any outfit pics of it until now! I wanted to go lighter for the summer and make some new layers and she did JUST that. If you're in the Provo area and you're looking for an amazing hair wizard, hit her up! Make sure you tell her that Ariel sent you :)

Second, I knowwww this is the second outfit post in a row that I'm wearing this backpack but I can't help it if I'm obsessed. #sorrynotsorry

Anyway, now on to the main event.

As you guys know, Connor and I went to Lagoon, a local amusement park, for our 3-year anniversary. Today I'm sharing with you folks the outfit that I wore for that adventure! I of course had to dress for comfort so I went with a classic striped tee and denim shorts look. I got this striped tee from a daily deals site called Groopdealz (use the code ARIEL10 to get 10% off your purchase) and it's been my new favorite thing everrr. I even mentioned and talked a little bit about it in my Pinterest Haul video yesterday (which you can view HERE). The only thing I wish I substituted for something comfier are my Chuck Taylors. As trendy and cool as they are, they're not the most comfortable things in the world--I'm sure you guys know. However, how stoked are we for the newer, comfier line they're coming out with??

My last favorite detail about this outfit are of course these cute bracelets! These dainty little things are from an Etsy shop called I Am Jes and they sell different varieties of bracelets just like this! I have freakishly tiny wrists so wearing any sort of bracelets are basically impossible for me because they literally slip right off, but these bracelets have an adjustable slide closure so I can make them the perfect size! Also, how cool are the little skulls attached to them? I feel like I'm channeling my inner Aria Montgomery whenever I wear them.

Cheers.

We never go out of style.

Bodysuit: c/o SWELL
Vest: c/o Cents of Style
Plaid Shirt: Forever 21
Bar Necklace: c/o Cents of Style
Crystal Necklace: c/o Sage Boutique
Boots: c/o LuLu*s

You got that James Dean day dream look in your eye
And I got that red lip classic thing that you like
And when we go crashing down, we come back every time.
Cause we never go out of style
We never go out of style

Pretty sure that song will never go out of style. Ever.

Speaking of things never going out of style....plaid shirts tied around the waist. Totally making a comeback from the 90s and I'm totally on board. I remember when tying a shirt or sweater around your waist was just for convenience--now it's an accessory! Connor used to make fun of how I wore two shirts just for fun....until we were out and about and it got really cold and I was the only one who was prepared with my second shirt. Stylish and convenient. Booyah.

Today's outfit might be one of my favorites of the season by far! I feel like I don't have enough vests in my wardrobe so I knew when I saw this Moto Vest on Cents of Style, I knew I had to have it! It also goes perfectly with this SWELL Bodysuit. I think bodysuits are neat because they don't bunch up like other tops do when you tuck them in--another item I want to add more of to my wardrobe! Last but not least, you can never go wrong with some gold jewelry! The crystal necklace is from a blogger event I attended the other week at Sage Boutique and the bar letter necklace is from the lovely Cents of Style.

Speaking of Cents of Style, right now they are offering 20% off any order with the discount code: ARIEL. Take advantage of it while you can folks!

Keep your heads up this weekend!
Or else you might get hit by a basketball.

ALSO,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BIG SIS!
love you miks. wish i could be with you celebrating!

Cheers.

Christmas on my mind...

Jacket: c/o Pink Blush
Top: c/o Pink Blush
Scarf: Forever 21
Boots: c/o LuLu*s
Bag: c/o LuLu*s
Necklace: c/o Song Yee Designs
Sunglasses: old

As of now I have three green cargo jackets in my closet.
Yes, THREE.

Connor makes fun of me because I have so many pieces of clothing that look alike in my wardrobe and yet I keep buying more similar clothes. What he doesn't understand is that although they may look alike, they aren't the same! One cargo jacket has little studs and details on it, the other is light and thin, and this one that I am wearing today is a bit more oversized--I have a jacket for every occasion! Some might say I have an obsession with green cargo jackets, others might say I like having a variety to choose from. (:

I'm really digging the oversized sweater and jacket look right now, which is why I think this Cargo Jacket from Pink Blush is perfect! It gives the outfit a chill, laid back vibe which I'm all about. Also, is it just me or does this outfit remind you of Christmas? I think it might be the red, green, and plaid combination. I must have had Christmas on my mind when I put it together but hey, that's not a bad thing right? Everybody loves the Holiday season!

If you are already in the Christmas spirit and want to start your shopping early (for yourself or others), Pink Blush has got some amazing items that would make perfect gifts!

Speaking of Holidays,
are you guys ready for Halloween this Friday?
Hope you all have some fun things planned and if things get out of hand, remember:
This gif makes me want to re-watch the entire series again for the 5th time so I think I'm gonna go do that now. K bye.

Cheers.

Bring on the scarves

Friday, October 24, 2014

Top: c/o Le Tote
Scarf: c/o Lemon Drop Boutique
Jeans: American Eagle
Boots: c/o LuLu*s
Purse: c/o LuLu*s
Sunglasses: c/o Firmoo
Earrings: c/o Song Yee Designs

It's my first outfit of the Fall with a scarf and I could not be more excited about it!

Yesterday I unpacked all my scarves and it was like being reunited with all my nearest and dearest friends. I might have even shed a tear or two. Kidding...but not really. I just really love my scarves, okay? Isn't there that saying.... Scarves are a girl's best friend? Or was it diamonds... ;)

The Abstract Printed Infinity Scarf I'm wearing today is from the cutest little shop called Lemon Drop Boutique. They have the prettiest jewelry and accessories, which I'm all about because like I said in yesterday's post, I'm all about the details in an outfit! Speaking of details, I am quite obsessed with these Burgundy Sunnies from Firmoo and Triangle Gold Chain Earrings from Song Yee Designs! The earrings are perfect to wear with your hair up (so everyone can see them of course)! Also, right now Song Yee Designs is offering 10% your order with the discount code: AUTEURARIEL!

If you like the scarf I'm wearing today, be sure to check back on Monday because I'm going to be doing a GIVEAWAY with Lemon Drop Boutique! It'll be your chance to score an item of your choice from this adorable shop!

Also, is it just me or has the weather in Utah been PERFECT lately? I probably just jinxed it by saying that right there, but the sun has made a presence almost every day but there's also a little chill in the air which is simply amazing. I can show off my fall accessories but not have to bundle up in a million layers to stay warm. Plus, the color of the leaves are the bomb.com.

Samson's not looking too shabby in fall wear too.
This guy never ceases to tug on my heart strings.

Friday, Friday.
You know what that means.
It's time to party...
in my jammies...
with my hot chocolate...
and TV.

Yeah guys.
I'm pretty wild.

Cheers.

TV will be the death of me.

Top: c/o SWELL
Hat: c/o LuLu*s
Boots: c/o LuLu*s
Short Necklace: c/o LuLu*s
Long Necklace: c/o Emmajoy
Watch: c/o Arvo
Bracelet: c/o LuLu*s

It's no secret that I am obsessed with TV shows.
Reality, competition, cooking, drama, comedy--you name it, I watch it.

Fall is the gold mine season when it comes to TV shows! Every night my DVR is filled with shows from that day that I need to watch before I go to bed and when I say need to watch, I mean that if I don't watch it that night, I'll have to stay up twice as late the night after to catch up on everything. (Woe is me, right?) Yes, TV is taking over my life but I'm not really upset about it... because every show is so dang good!

To show you just how obsessed I am with TV, below are the shows that I am currently watching this season.
Keep in mind... this is only for FALL.

Half of these shows are basically trash, but that's one of the big reasons I'm so obsessed with them.
I think I have a problem...

I'm scared to ask this question because the more answers I get, the more my life will be taken over, but...

What are your favorite Fall TV shows?

I wasn't joking when I said that TV will be the death of me.
Good thing I have a comfy couch.

Cheers.

I'm a Cat: Grumpy Version

Monday, October 20, 2014

Top: c/o The Rare Ones
Jacket: c/o LuLu*s
Necklace: c/o Song Yee Designs
Boots: c/o LuLu*s
Cat Ears: Wet Seal

Remember last year when I was a cat for Halloween?
Well, I thought it would be funny if I just make it a tradition to share a different cat outfit every year for Halloween! Might as well give an annual purpose for owning these cat ears, right? ;)

This year, I went for the Grumpy Version of the cat.
(I was totally going to draw on a nose and whiskers but I forgot to bring my eyeliner to do it. FAIL)

When I saw this Grumpy Cat shirt on The Rare Ones, I fell in love. I thought it was hilarious because I'm obsessed with the real life Grumpy Cat so it was perfect! I figure I would make it my official shirt to wear whenever I'm in a grumpy mood. It'll give Connor a heads up to know how I'm feeling without even needing to ask. :)

The Rare Ones is an Etsy shop that sells embroidered clothing and accessories. Their designs are super unique and intricate, and they have such a variety to choose from! Some of my favorites are the Elephant, Robot, and Deer and they even have a Skull design shirt that's perfect for Halloween! Their shirts are all American Apparel so they're uber comfy and soft! Also, how adorable is this dainty little disc necklace from Song Yee Designs? She's the queen of pretty jewelry!

Can you believe Halloween is in less than 2 weeks? If you follow my Instagram, you might have seen me and Connor's couple costumes that we wore to our friends' Halloween party! I was really excited about this year's costumes because it's not the typical pairing you would think and I handmade my own costume!!!

If you are struggling with what you want to be for Halloween and need some inspo, there are some great Halloween ideas on The Good Stuff, which is Coupons.com's magazine. They have ideas for costumes inspired by Fall TV shows, last-minute costumes, and even adorable baby costumes! There is also a Coupons.com Halloween Creepstakes going on where you can win $100 in daily prize giveaways and a $3,000 grand prize. You can enter from now until October 31 so hurry, hurry!

What are some of your costume ideas for this Halloween??

Have a great week!
