Welcome to Look 3 of my Albion Fit Summer Series!

Since I shared a fun behind the scenes story about my last look, I figure I'll just continue that on here. Especially since I don't have much to say about this outfit (because it consists of one piece haha) except for that this Waikiki swimsuit is possibly my favorite suit from Albion Fit so far! The style of this swimsuit is sooooo flattering and the pattern is so fun and bright! Also, the fact that it's named after an area in Hawaii--it's just kismet.

So we filmed this portion of the video at my aunt and uncle's pool (they have the dreamiest house and yard). They were kind enough to let me and Gentri invade their backyard for a bit and can I just say thank goodness I had access to a private pool because shooting this at a public pool would've been a nightmare!

Let's talk about pool floaties for a sec.

Super duper cute and trendy but it comes with the cost of working out your lungs every time you want to use them. If you have a place to store them fully blown up, then good on ya. If you own or have access to an electric air pump, then awesome. But if you've got none of that and you have to blow them up with your trusty ole lungs, then deflate them, then blow them up, then deflate them.... they're a PAIN. Thank goodness I had Gentri there to help blow up the swan for me (the watermelon was all me), or else I'm sure I would have passed out. Also, I found out later that my aunt actually did have an electric air pump soooooooooo.... ha.

When it comes to coverups I like switching it up depending on the style of my swimsuit! This Maria Crop Top suit had a more sporty vibe so I decided to match it with a pair of short overalls. I think it ties the look together pretty well--what do you guys think? ;)

Funny story about this photo/video shoot day.

It was already pretty overcast when Gentri and I arrived at Utah Lake. We got some pretty cute shots in when the wind started to slowly pick up. Cotton was flying everywhere (which actually gave a pretty cool effect in the video--you can take a look at that below) and the dock started rocking a little bit, but it wasn't too much to handle. All of a sudden, the wind went INSANE. Like hurricane insane. We were at the end of the dock so I SPRINTED down to grab my lens I had set down at the beginning of it because I was terrified it would fly into the water. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something fly off the dock into the water but I didn't think much of it because I thought it was a plastic bag or something. A few seconds later we hear this older man (who had been fishing on the same dock) yelling at us: "Your clothes!!!"

It was at that moment that I realized that the "plastic bag" I saw fly into the water was my pair of overalls (yes, the overalls seen in these pictures hahaha). We ran back to the old man and I thought for sure my overalls had already sunk to the bottom but this superhero fisherman had HOOKED my overalls with his fishing pole and FISHED them out of the lake!!! Thank goodness Mr. Fisherman was there because I would have a) forgotten all about my overalls and b) remembered them later and it would have been way way way too late.

When I got home I ran those overalls through two cycles of the wash cus that lake be nasttttty.

Anyway, so that's the story of this day and these overalls and the lone fisherman.

Whoa wait, am I blogging??

This is weird.

There have been some changes in my life (good ones!) lately that have allowed me to become more focused on my goals and career! One of those goals is to get back to blogging because man I miss it tons.

So here I am with a brand spankin' new outfit post! Today is the first of a four part series with Albion Fit! I looove off the shoulder swimsuits so The Wave Pana Stripe Swimsuit was a must-have for me! I paired it with these cute high-waisted shorts and this cute neck scarf from my girl Tara's shop. ALSO, my bike! I can't remember if I've already formally introduced you folks to my baby (probably not because I'm like a ghost around here) but this is my BICYCLE! I haven't thought of a name for her yet (which is sad cus I've had her for like over a month already) but as soon as I do I'll fill you folks in.

Fall Fashion Lookbook VIDEO

Happy Wednesday!

FALL IS HERE!!! ERMAGERSHHHHH!!! As you can tell, I’m slightly obsessed with Fall—the clothes, the colors, the weather, everything! As promised, today I’m sharing a Fashion Lookbook of my favorite fall outfits and essentials! LuLu*s Lookbook Video

Hello friends!

Hope you all had a lovely Valentine's Day and are having a great Presidents Day!

I have something super exciting to share with you guys today...

It's my first LOOKBOOK VIDEO!!!

For this project I teamed up with my favorite company and some amazingly talented friends to put together a little video highlighting some of LuLu*s amazing collection of clothes. The video is pretty quick, because we wanted it to follow the format of an ad, but I'm hoping to cut together a longer version of it in the future to share with you all :).

A big thanks to Lauren, my partner in crime, for appearing in this video with me! We both had to survive through some pretty chilly temperatures (this was pre-heat wave) and I'm so blessed to have someone as amazing as Lo to volunteer her time (and body temperature) to help me out! Also, a huuuuuge shoutout to the camera and editing crew who shot and cut this video together! I know all of these guys from film school so when they approached me about collaborating with them, I ecstatically said yes, knowing they would create phenomenal work! And of course, cheers to LuLu*s for having cool clothes to show off ;).
