Phew.

What a week, what a week.
I would say I'm looking forward to the weekend to finally relax, but sadly, my hectic week is carrying over to the weekend because I'm so far behind on multiple projects and errands. I need these next few days to play catch up so I don't drown in my To-Do List next week.

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night because my knee was just not having it and I couldn't find a comfortable position to sleep in. Me tossing and turning in bed of course led to waking up Connor, who took upon his husband duties and asked me if there was anything he could do for me I seriously love this kid.

You know those moments where one bad thing kind of sets off all those other bad things you've been tucking away, and you kind of just finally break down? Well, I had one of those moments.
After the tears and venting, and when I finally calmed down, Connor and I turned on the TV (due to the fact that we were wide awake by then) and shared a bag of chips yes, we pigged out at 4 in the morning, whoops, then slept for the next two hours before our alarms went off.

Over the years I've come to learn something about "those moments" that I occasionally come across.
I've learned that those moments are not a sign of weakness.
It's a sign of release.

A release of all those things that has been weighing you down.
Elsa said it best: let it gooooooooo
It's okay to be vulnerable sometimes.
and it's absolutely okay to have a good cry every once in a while.
maybe even eat a whole bag of chips in bed.

So keep that in mind next time you have a "moment."
:)

ANYWAY,
enough of that deep, emotional stuff.

How you liking my headband?
It's from the absolutely adorable Etsy shop, House of Garland. They sell a wide variety of unique headbands and every single one of them is to die for! Seriously, I'm in love with my Nikki headband--it's so dang cute!
House of Garland is offering 30% off with the code: BLOGLOVE30 so definitely take advantage of that while you can because the store only has a limited amount of each headband! If you love a certain headband, BUY IT NOW because someone else could beat you to it!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Cheers.

  2. I love this a lot. I also love that being married comes with the opportunity to have a breakdown and pig out in the wee hours of the morning partner.

  3. Breakdowns are never fun but it's always a blessing to have a loved one by your side when you do have a breakdown. It's moment like those that build your relationship even stronger. Oh and your outfit reminds me of a grown up Minnie (from Disney). It's a super cute outfit.

  4. your husband sounds really sweet. everyone needs to have a good cry every now and then, especially after going through something really rough, like a surgery!
