A brand new season is upon us which means one thing:

ANOTHER COLLABORATION WITH LULU*S!!!

This season's collaboration is a little different from the others because I'm celebrating something else in addition to the Fall season:

My BIRTHDAY!

My 23rd celebration of life is creeping up and I thought it would be fun to tie that into my fashion series with LuLu*s--hence the title "joyFALL celebration" (clever, ey?). For the next couple weeks I'll be sharing with you four different outfits that highlight four of my favorite fall fashion essentials (say that five times fast...). I'll post my last outfit on October 9th (my birthday) and to keep the party going, I'll be hosting a giveaway with LuLu*s the day after on the 10th! It's gonna be a fun couple of weeks so be sure to tune in every Tuesday and Thursday to check out each outfit!

Okay, fall essential numero uno: DENIM.

Denim jackets, denim shirts, denim vests, denim jeans, and in this case, denim overalls!

I was quite nervous about putting this specific look together because I honestly have not worn overalls since..... 1st grade? I had these pair of pink overalls that I wore allll the time. In fact.....

Here is a picture of me in said overalls.....

It literally only took 2 minutes of looking through family albums to find this sweet photo because like I said, I wore them ALL the time. (also, the reason why I was able to look in my family albums is because I'm home in Hawaii for a bit. Surprise!)

Also, I have no idea why I'm standing in front of a beat-up truck and I'm pretty sure I'm making a duck face in this picture. #accidentalhipster

Okay back to the overalls I'm wearing TODAY. As I was saying, I was nervous about wearing these Dittos Melissa Overalls because I didn't know if I would be able to pull them off. I actually ended up loving the outcome of the look, especially since it forced me to step out of my comfort zone! I kept the youthfulness of the look by wearing this Boom Clap Convertible Backpack (that also turns into a purse) and made it a bit more Ariel-esque (yeah, I just wrote that) by wearing these Madden Girl Lace-Up Boots and Midnight Hour Watch because I love me some boots and watches. Also, this Oversize Me Ivory Tee that I'm wearing is your PERFECT oversized tee for the Fall! It comes in blush and gray as well and is the comfiest thing everrr. I may or may not be wearing it again later this week. whoops! #tshirtrepeater

Also, as I quickly mentioned above, I am visiting Hawaii for the next two weeks!

My mom is getting hip surgery so I'm here to help out with her recovery and of course, spend time with family and friends. Sadly my other half wasn't able to come on this trip because he has work and someone needed to watch over our little Samson who just got a triple procedure surgery (neutered, chipped, and dew claw removal).

Yep, this guy's got the cone of shame.
