Is it too early to start wearing pineapple print? If so, I'm sorry not sorry.
I saw these adorable pineapple print shoes on Jane a couple weeks ago and knew I had to snag them before the deal was up! (Speaking of Jane, I can't wait to show you guys pictures from an amazing event they recently hosted!!) I don't have many sneakers or sandals in my shoe collection (they're mostly boots because apparently I'm addicted) so I thought I'd start upping my game this season!
If you want up your game this Spring, check out Grae Apparel! They've got some awesome new arrivals that are perfect for this season, like bright floral dresses, lace tops, and chic jewelry. Right now they're currently offering free shipping and if you join their VIP club, you get access to first looks, exclusive discounts, and more! I'm loving their acid wash tee I'm wearing today because it's so light and comfy and goes with pretty much everything.
Hope you all had a great Star Wars Day and Cinco De Mayo! Isn't May an exciting month?

Hey fraaaaans.
I have been challenged by Jane.com and Cents of Style to participate in their #BeTheGood campaign! And as Barney Stinson would confidently say, challenge accepted! What sweet opportunity to do something, big or small, for another person. Through this challenge I chose
to pick up someone's dinner tab anonymously.
The other night Connor and I went out to eat dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Towards the end of our meal, we saw an old, scruffy-looking man enter the restaurant and sit down at a table. I don't know if he was homeless or not, but I could definitely tell he didn't have the most ideal lifestyle. Right as we were about to pay our bill, I had this feeling that we should pay for his tab as well. Connor agreed that we should (another reason I love the man so dearly) so we asked our waiter to add the old man's dinner tab to our check, paid, and left the restaurant. I'll never know how the old man reacted to hearing that his dinner was paid for, but I'll always remember that feeling Connor and I left with. The feeling that we did something good. Sure, Connor and I have our own financial struggles and stresses, but we have to remember that there is always someone out there that has it worse than us.
I challenge all of you to take a part in this movement and spread goodness throughout! I also personally
challenge Jessica, Lauren, Rachel, Gentri, & Bri! Good luck my friends--you have 24 hrs to complete a service
or act of kindness (kind of like the Ice Bucket Challenge, minus the ice water). See below for details:
1. Choose a good deed. Could be as simple as paying for the coffee or meal after yours.
2. Share your goods. Pick your favorite social channel (Facebook, Instagram, Vine, Twitter, etc.),
but first, make sure to take a selfie (or something appropriate to your story), and share your
story, big or small. Be sure to use these hashtags to help this campaign spread: #BeTheGood
#JaneCares and #CentsofStyle. You’ll see your story featured on Jane.com!
3. Tag 1-5 of your friends to do the same within a 24 hr period.
4. Look stylish while doing it! Jane.com and Cents of Style are selling some super cute
#BeTheGood t-shirts on Jane.com. All profits made will be donated to Girls Inc. an organization
that inspires girls to be strong, smart and bold.
"Be the change that you wish to see in the world."
I've always been skeptical about headpieces because I didn't think they would look good on me. However, they always look amazing on other people so I decided to give it a try, I gotta say, I'm loving it! I paired it off with this flowy white blouse from Pink Blush to create a fun, but still casual boho look. I'm bummed that music festival season is over because this headpiece would be the perfect accessory for it! I'll just have to find a concert or carnival to wear it to so I can show it off!
I couldn't help but dance a little bit I was taking pictures for this outfit--this top is too flowy not to twirl in! I'm not the greatest dancer and I only have like 3 signature dance moves (Connor calls one of them The Octopus Dance), but that doesn't mean that I don't like to bust a move every so often (both in private and in public). I'm a firm believer in dancing it out when you're in doubt. Sometimes there's nothing like a spontaneous dance party that'll clear your mind and relax you up a bit!
I was looking at old videos of my friends and I when we were single and crazy (okay we are still pretty crazy) and I came across this dance video we made. Pretty sure it was around Finals Week when we made this video, hence the obnoxious amount of dancing and procrastinating.
I can't believe this was almost 4 years ago! Time flies by so fast.
Anyway, enjoy the dorky 18-year-old version of me makin' a fool of herself.
Today Connor and I (and Samson) are wearing some sweet new shades from Ltd. Optics! I've featured Ltd. Optics on my blog before (view those posts HERE and HERE) so I was stoked when I found out that they were coming out with some new lines! I'm wearing The Boardwalk in black and I love how it fits my face--it has a bit of a feminine shape to it and is meant for people with smaller faces. What's cool about these sunglasses is that they are made of 7-layer skateboard wood with internal spring hinges and they are finished by hand so every pair has it's own unique touch to it! Connor is wearing The Chameleon in Red and if I do say so myself, he's looking pretty handsome in them :). I love how they combined the look of rubber with wood to create something totally stylish and cool! The frames were a little too big for my face, but it looks great on men! Even Samson is looking pretty smooth in them as you can see in the picture above.
We weren't originally going to have Samson in these pictures but Connor isn't a big fan of posing for photos (this is only the second His and Hers post we've ever done, haha) so I figure if he had someone to pose with, he'd be happier :D I'm obsessed with the little guy so any excuse to have him on my blog I'll take!
Be sure to check out Ltd. Optic's new sunglasses lines!
They're perfect for looking stylish on all the summer adventures that await you!
This past Saturday I finally got to meet and hang out with Marsa from The DayLee Journal! She's one of the first bloggers I started following when I entered the blogosphere over a year ago and we bonded over how we were both asians from Hawaii who were born in Japan! It was a bummer though because she moved to Seattle just as we became good friends so we never got to meet IRL. She finally came back to Utah to visit family so we made sure to sneak in a GNO with Rachel and Lo! You know those people who you instantly click with as soon as you hang out? That's Marsa! :) Miss you already!
I also rode a rocking horse made for big kids this weekend.
Yep.
I'm channeling my inner Rachel Sayumi today with this casual-chic outfit! Rachel is one of my blogger BFFs and fellow Asian sistaaaa, and I just adore her style! She wears her signature gold braided headband from time to time in her posts so when I got this Gold Riff Raff Headband from Pretty Lovely Littles, I couldn't resist but build an outfit inspired by her! I paired the headband with this super comfortable boyfriend V-neck from Jane and also a layered necklace from Garage. Rachel and I actually own a lot of the same clothing so a "How We Wore It" collab post should happen sometime soon. Love you Racchhhhhh! #RABLJ
Pretty Lovely Littles is a cute little handmade shop, started by Chelsea from The Girl Who Loved to Write. She handcrafts everything from headbands to flowers crowns to book page bouquets!!! Everything in her shop is super adorable and so unique! This girl has seriously got some talent.
Happy Monday! Today, I'm guest posting on Remington Ready's blog--woohoo! Check out my post HERE. I'll be posting the same outfit to my blog sometime this week, so check back later for more details on that! xx
you will be seeing A LOT of outfits with florals crowns and A LOT of outfits with kimonos.
I just wanted to give you folks a heads up before all the madness begins :)
#sorrynotsorry
This kimono combines two of my fashion favorites: floral and lace. I love how it's not your typical floral kimono--it has a little edge to it with the black lace! Also, these suede ankle boots are ridiculously comfortable. As you guys know I got knee surgery a few weeks ago and I have absolutely no problem walking in these heeled babies! I got both of these items from this awesome store called Missguided! Missguided is a fresh and vibrant online shop that stays up to date on the latest trends so they'll always have what you're looking for! They currently have a ton of cute spring stuff (especially their dresses) so head on over there and check it out! Best part? They offer free shipping in US and Canada! Woohoo!
Oh, and how awesome are these pieces of jewelry from Pure Impressions? The numbers on my bracelet are the coordinates of my hometown! :) Laura, the owner, is the queen of personalized jewelry.
Anyway,
It's Monday again.
