I'm having one of those weeks.

I caught a nasty cold and I'm at the sore throat phase so every time I swallow there is pain.
The seasons are transitioning so my allergies are going crazy and my nose is constantly stuffed up.
The weather can't make up its mind so it's blazing hot when the window is closed but freezing when its open.
I'm hitting the really intense part of the workout program I've been following for the past six weeks so my muscles are shredded.
I've had bad cases of insomnia so I'm exhausted during the day.
I'm stressing out about the usual financial, future, personal things we all stress out about.
Aaaaaaaand to top it all off: It's my time of the month.

Yayyy.

On the flip side, Samson got a haircut the other day and he's looking really cute so at least he's having a great week.

I really don't like to talk about negative things on my blog because I like to keep things light and fun around here, but when you've been having a week like mine, sometimes you just gotta vent to the Internet ya know? Plus, we are all human and have gone through these types of days, weeks, or months where you feel like the world is hating on you. Anyway, I hope you guys didn't mind reading my sob story and I know next week will be a better one and every day is a new day so I'm still holding my head high and hoping for better things to come!

If you folks do have any extra good vibes to spare though, send them on over here please cus this is my current status:

Love you guys.

Cheers.

  1. Adorable outfit. :) Haha, I love the GIF at the end--I feel your pain! I've been sick for 15 days...ugh. So my Dad always tells me to gargle with warm salt water (but only 1-2 times a day because you don't want to dry your throat out) because it kills the infection. He personally takes 5 small Vitamin-A capsules before bed and says he always feels a lot better. For me, I took DayQuil and the syrup realllyy helped coat my throat and soothe it. My throat had hurt so bad before when I needed to swallow that I almost cried--ouch! Also, lot's of Chamomile tea with honey--it relax's the throat and soothes stress. For meal time...chicken noodle soup is your BFF. ;) Hope you start feeling much better soon!! <3

Sorry you're having one of those weeks, but you know what I noticed? Amidst all your little struggles, you were still kind of positive! Talking about little Samson and everything... You can do it!

  7. LoL, I think that I've been actually having that kind of month that you just described. Seems like so many things that could possibly go wrong are doing just that. I did learn last night though, that in the midst of all of the chaos, it's important to take some time to just turn all the worry and the work off and just enjoy something to it's fullest. My bf and I went to our favorite restaurant last night to celebrate Valentine's Day since we couldn't on the actual holiday. It was the first time in a looooong time that we shut off our phones and just enjoyed each other's company :) Anyway, my point is that when I'm feeling down, I think it's important to take a moment to shut out some of the chaos and take a breather. I know that's not exactly easy when you're sick, but I think it's great if you can find at least one thing that makes you forget that you're not feeling well for a little while :)
