joggers c/o

Two cozy outfit posts in a row.
#sorrynotsorry

I feel like we are at that awkward place in the seasons where Spring and Winter are playing tag team every other day and it's really messing with my head. Just the other day I was taking a warm bike ride in the sun and the next I'm dashing from the car to my apartment trying to escape the rain and wind! April need to get its act together.

In other (obvious) news, it's the weekend!
It's always a happy feeling knowing the next two days are designated for rest and relaxation. I'll probably be taking advice from my sweatshirt and getting some much needed zzzs in. I hope everyone has some fun (and/or chill) plans ahead!

Cheers.

Namaste in Bed

sweatshirt c/o

wall tapestry c/o

This sweatshirt is literally the story of my life this past week.
I caught a nasty cold last weekend so my days have been a variation of laying in bed or laying on the couch. Is it just me or are colds just so hard to come back from? I feel heaps better now but I still have a bit of a runny nose that just won't seem to go away...

If you're on the search for some comfy, cozy sweatshirts right now with your life mantra on it, look no further. Stylegirl has got you covered left and right (and up and down and everywhere, really). Give them a looksie and you might even find a familiar face around their website! :)

On another note,
I bought a bike the other day.
And I love it.

I'M SO EXCITED FOR SUMMER.
(if that wasn't already obvious)

Cheers.

Top: Free People c/o Evereve
Leggings: c/o Evereve
Scarf: c/o StyleGirl
Boots: c/o Khombu

Welcome to Look 2 of my Winter Chill series with Evereve!
If you missed Look 1, check it out HERE.

This Free People thermal has been blowing up the Internet lately so I thought I would jump on the train and ride along! ;) It's definitely popular for a reason because this baby is sooooooo cute and comfy. I love how long it is because it goes perfectly with a pair of leggings! It's also super flattering and comes in the cutest array of colors. I got mine from Evereve and that's where you should pick yours up too! Aside from this cute thermal, they have a great collection of sweaters, leggings, and all your winterwear needs. They've also just added new clearance markdowns up to 70% off, so be sure to check them out HERE!

Today's our last day in Hawaii before we jet off to our next adventure in Japan! I feel like these past two weeks have flown right by but I'm glad that I'm able to look back on them via my VLOGS and relive the moments!

This is currently my feels right now:
Life, man.

View Look 1 HERE.

I hope you liked Look #2 in this series! Look #3, along with a $100 GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY TO EVEREVE will be posted TOMORROW so be sure you swing on back for that!

Have a great week, friends!

Cheers.

That Good Ole

Sweater Dress: c/o DownEast Basics
Scarf: c/o StyleGirl
Boots: c/o LuLu*s [similar]

That good ole blanket scarf. Recognize it?
If not, just go on Pinterest or your blog feed and you'll see 4-5 of it in a matter of minutes. :)
If you're feeling left out because you don't have one yet, snag one from StyleGirl! They've got an awesome variety of them all for great prices!

I'm stocking up on sweater dresses this Fall and Winter because it's the only kind of dress I can wear in the cold weather that I won't freeze in. This olive green one from DownEast is perfect because it's extremely thick and long sleeve/knee-length. I also love the cable knit design, and of course the color because olive green is my jam.

Here are some of my favorite sweater dresses I've seen around whilst Christmas shopping (for myself, of course). It's never too early to start, right? ;)
If you didn't know, I'm currently in Washington hanging out with Connor's family! Samson and I came up on Tuesday so we could be here to welcome home Connor's litter brother, Duncan, from his LDS mission in Mexico! He's been back for a couple days now and it's pretty hilarious hearing his mexican accent. He also often forgets how to say certain words in English and just says it in Spanish instead, which none of us can understand anyway. Tonight Connor is flying up (yay!) and tomorrow Connor's two other brothers are flying in so it'll be a full Hamilton household (minus one brother) this weekend! It should be filled with lots of fun and laughter (wow, cheezy much Ariel)!

I will never get tired of this gif.

ps. If you haven't yet, be sure to check out my Life Hacks for Dog Owners video HERE!
I made this video just for you puppy parents, like me! :)

Hope you guys have exciting weekend plans too!

Cheers.

Eye Heart You

Oh haiiii there.

I'm getting my 22-year-old Taylor Swift on in today's outfit if you hadn't noticed by now! Every time I put these red sunnies on I can't help but get an urge to dress up like a hipster and make fun of my exes... ;) (uh-uh, uh-uh)

No but really this outfit is so fun and comfy to wear! You really can't go wrong with a white tee and some denim shorts--it's classic beyond classic. I love the pop of color the sunglasses give to the look--I want to go out and buy these babies in every color they come in! Also, I've been taking this fringe purse everywhere I go recently. It's so cute and surprisingly very roomy for how small it looks! Let's just say it's big enough to smuggle some sodas and candy into the movie theater without it looking suspicious. Whoops.
Don't judge.
You know you do it too.

Speaking of movies, it must be a summer thing because Connor and I have seen a lot of them recently! The latest movie we saw in theaters was Jurassic World and it was ahhhhmaaaaazing. I'm kind of obsessed with the Jurassic Park series, like my family owns all the VHS tapes (I FEEL SO OLD SAYING THAT). I even remember my parents going to watch the third one in the theaters but I couldn't go with because I was too young (apparently 10-year-olds are too young to hang with dinosaurs, thanks mom and dad). Anyway, the latest installment definitely lived up to the hype in my opinion, so bravo.

But the real award goes the Bryce Dallas Howard, because any woman who sprints (and I mean SPRINTS) around in heels that much for a film deserves a friggin' trophy, man. For most of the movie I kept thinking to myself, "TAKE OFF THE HEELS, WOMAN!" but she always got away in time from the dinosaurs so it must have worked for her. Also, I almost died laughing when I saw this video of Chris Pratt showing how hard it is to run in heels:

Oh Chris. You're my hero.

Hope your Tuesday is looking cheerful!
Cheers.

Samson is anti-social.

Shirt: c/o StyleGirl
Pants: c/o SWELL
Sandals: c/o LuLu*s
Necklace: c/o LuLu*s [similar]
Earrings: c/o LuLu*s
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington

This outfit combo has been my go-to recently. Some days leggings are too constricting for me and don't even get me started on jeans, so I just opt for a nice pair of harem pants. They're loose, comfy, and I can just throw on a graphic tee and I'm ready to go! This tee that I'm wearing from StyleGirl is a favorite of mine because its got the word "wanderlust" on it--need I say more? I've also been gravitating towards wearing more strappy sandals this spring. I just got a brown pair from LuLu*s that I previewed in this Instagram post that I'm really excited to share on my blog soon!

Also, just a reminder: if you're thinking about buying a Daniel Wellington watch sometimes soon, make sure you use the code ARIELHN for 15% off all products until May 31, 2015! Also, with every watch purchased, you can choose a free NATO wristband! Check out their amazing collection here.

******************************************************

Okay, so about today's post title.
Let me be more specific:

Samson is anti-social.....with other dogs.
He is however, VERY social--almost too social--with humans.

Provo finally opened a dog park a couple weeks ago (it's located at Bicentennial Park, kind of by the cemetery on State Street) and we've taken Samson there a few times already. He hasn't had much experience with other dogs growing up. Most of social interactions are with humans and one cat back when he was a puppy. So we figured going to the park would be a good way for him to start socializing with other puppies.

The moment we get to the park and unleash him, he is instantly swarmed by the dogs already there. His tail instantly goes between his legs and he slouches down to the ground, obviously extremely nervous by the presence of these bigger animals who are trying to sniff him up and down. The moment the other dogs get over the initial hype of Samson, they run off and continue to roughhouse with each other while Samson, beelines for the first human close to him and suddenly starts wagging his tail. I kid you not, the rest of the time we were there he went around the entire park saying hello to every human and ignoring/avoiding every dog. And that's when we learned that our pup is very much a people dog.

The next two times we went Samson was a lot better about spending a least a little time checking out the other dogs, but he still prefers human interaction much, much more. It's funny watching everyone gush over how friendly he is. One time Connor and I couldn't find where he was in the park until we finally spotted him sitting in some stranger's lap looking as happy as can be. A couple people have even come up to us joking that they would've take Samson home because he's so cute which made me awkward laugh because I know part of them isn't kidding.... The sad part is that even if he was kidnapped, he probably wouldn't even care because he's THAT social (Connor said that isn't true because he loves us the most but I can't help but wonder...).

Anyway, we'll for sure be making lots more trips to the dog park so we can force our little guy to make some furry friends. If you've got yourself a pup in Utah county, definitely check out the new dog park! It's a ton of fun. :)

I can't help but laugh every time I look at this picture because of how nervous Samson looks.

Cheers.

Spring, you weirdo.

I don't know about you non-Utahns but the weather here lately has been completely INSANE. And I'm not trying to be all cliche and boring and small talk about the weather because I have nothing else to say, because really, the weather here has been straight up crazytown. I'm talking overcast depressed clouds to clear blue skies to sudden hurricane to hail attack. And that was all in one day. I really don't get you Spring. I really don't. You're as indecisive as I am when I'm getting froyo. I can't never choose just one flavor so I end up getting five different ones and when they all inevitably mix together the results aren't pretty. Don't be Ariel in a froyo store. Just don't.

Because of this bipolar weather, I decided to share a cozier Spring outfit with you today! You can never go wrong with beanies and scarves when trying to stay a little warm throughout the day. I've also just been in an overalls mood lately so I had to pull these babies out from my closet! If there is one thing that living in Utah has taught me, it's that you should never completely pack away your winter clothes because you never know when there'll be a freak storm in the middle of May.

Also, if you're digging my Daniel Wellington watch and want one for yourself, make sure you use the code ARIELHN for 15% off all products until May 31, 2015! Also, with every watch purchased, you can choose a free NATO wristband! Check out their amazing collection here.

Have you guys seen Pitch Perfect 2 yet?
It was acca-perfect if I do say so myself.

Cheers.
