Second Albion Fit summer look comin' atcha! :)
If you missed the first look click here

When it comes to coverups I like switching it up depending on the style of my swimsuit! This Maria Crop Top suit had a more sporty vibe so I decided to match it with a pair of short overalls. I think it ties the look together pretty well--what do you guys think? ;)

Funny story about this photo/video shoot day.
It was already pretty overcast when Gentri and I arrived at Utah Lake. We got some pretty cute shots in when the wind started to slowly pick up. Cotton was flying everywhere (which actually gave a pretty cool effect in the video--you can take a look at that below) and the dock started rocking a little bit, but it wasn't too much to handle. All of a sudden, the wind went INSANE. Like hurricane insane. We were at the end of the dock so I SPRINTED down to grab my lens I had set down at the beginning of it because I was terrified it would fly into the water. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something fly off the dock into the water but I didn't think much of it because I thought it was a plastic bag or something. A few seconds later we hear this older man (who had been fishing on the same dock) yelling at us: "Your clothes!!!"

It was at that moment that I realized that the "plastic bag" I saw fly into the water was my pair of overalls (yes, the overalls seen in these pictures hahaha). We ran back to the old man and I thought for sure my overalls had already sunk to the bottom but this superhero fisherman had HOOKED my overalls with his fishing pole and FISHED them out of the lake!!! Thank goodness Mr. Fisherman was there because I would have a) forgotten all about my overalls and b) remembered them later and it would have been way way way too late.

When I got home I ran those overalls through two cycles of the wash cus that lake be nasttttty.

Anyway, so that's the story of this day and these overalls and the lone fisherman.
You're welcome.

Whoa wait, am I blogging??
This is weird.

There have been some changes in my life (good ones!) lately that have allowed me to become more focused on my goals and career! One of those goals is to get back to blogging because man I miss it tons.

So here I am with a brand spankin' new outfit post! Today is the first of a four part series with Albion Fit! If you're familiar with local Utah companies you definitely know who these guys are because they make the cutest swimsuits evaaaa. I looove off the shoulder swimsuits so The Wave Pana Stripe Swimsuit was a must-have for me! I paired it with these cute high-waisted shorts and this cute neck scarf from my girl Tara's shop. ALSO, my bike! I can't remember if I've already formally introduced you folks to my baby (probably not because I'm like a ghost around here) but this is my BICYCLE! I haven't thought of a name for her yet (which is sad cus I've had her for like over a month already) but as soon as I do I'll fill you folks in.

If you shop Albion Fit, make sure you use the code ARIEL15 to get 15% off your purchase!

Aaaaaaand to go with this series I made a killer lookbook video featuring all my favorite swimsuits from Albion Fit! Watch it to peak at all the fabulous swimsuits. Watch it if you want to get excited for summer. Watch it if you want to add some views to my tracker... :) and subscribe too, pretty please.

Alrighty friends, have a great weekend and I'll see you next week with Part 2!

Cheers.

Dress: c/o Billabong
Hat: c/o Billabong
Sunglasses: c/o Woodzee
Sandals: Salt Walter Sandals

Feeling all sorts of ironic right now.
I'm currently putting together this blog post of my tropical mexico look while sitting in a dreary waiting room of an auto shop. #life

For the past few months our car has been doing this thing where if it's going over 60 mph, the front tires start shaking unless you let off the gas. So basically--every time I drive on the freeway which is all the time, there's a possibility the wheels could fly off and I could die. Yep.

So we thought it would be best to get that fixed.

Today's outfit features one of my favorite cover-ups from Billabong! It's an adorable, light summer dress that has the coolest macrame details, ever. It's even inspired me to try out some DIY macrame projects that I'm excited to share with you guys real soon! Seriously, you would be surprised how easy it is to make your own Urban Outfitters-inspired macrame wall hangings for more than half the price.

If you've got some last minute summer vacation plans or you live in a place where it's summer 24/7, make sure you check out Billabong and their amazing collection!

I'm taking a last-minute trip to San Francisco this weekend to see an old friend so make sure you follow me on Snapchat (@heyitsaray) and Instagram (@arielrayhamilton) to stay updated on my adventures! I'm going to see Coldplay on Saturday night and I may or may not cry from all the excitement...

Have a great weekend, friends!

Cheers.

Sandals: Salt Water Sandals
Bag: Color by Amber

How much would you judge me if I said these pictures were from when I went to Mexico... 6 MONTHS AGO.

.......

At least I posted them within the same year, right?
:D

Well guys, summer is coming to a close and it's pretty bittersweet. The weather here is still blazing hot though (but give that a few weeks). Schools are back in session. Leaves are showing a hint of red in the mountains. And it's officially September. Here's to another chapter of summer fun ending and to a brand spankin' new chapter of scarves, boots, and mugs of hot cocoa. I'm sorry I can't help it--I'm such a FALL girl.

As much as I love everything that is autumn, there are of course lots of things about summer that I'm going to miss! Pool parties, barbecues, carefree atmospheres, and of course, the fashion. Cover-ups are one of my favorite summer pieces (I think I've mentioned that several times in my blog haha) and I love when I can find different variations of them! One of my favorites have been rompers--like this denim one from Billabong! I love how casual-looking it is and the laid-back vibe it gives off! This was perfect to wear around in Cancun because we were going in and out of the resort all the time--I didn't feel underdressed anytime we were indoors or overdressed when we were at the beach!

Long live the summer of 2016.
It was definitely full of memories and one for the books. :)

Stick around for the last of my summer outfits coming to the blog in the next couple weeks.
Then.... the fall party begins.
*I've already used this gif before but I'm binge watching Parks & Rec again so I thought it was appropriate...

Woo!

Cheers.

Salty Hair.
Coconut Oil.
Big Waves.
Hot Sun.

The ingredients for a perfect summer day.

I'm heading back to Hawaii in a couple weeks for a short trip and I am just counting down the days until I'll be on the beach, soaking up the golden rays and ocean air. Every day lately has been feeling more and more like summer and I feel like once I'm back home it'll officially be summer vacay!

I'm making sure my suitcase will be stocked with the best beachwear possible and that includes the cutest cover-ups! The one I'm wearing today is from Coral Reef Swim--the same place my swimsuit from Friday's post is from (you can see a peak of the suit in today's outfit). Not only do they have the best swimsuits, they have an awesome collection of cover-ups as well! From kimonos to ponchos to dresses--they have it all. Be sure to check them out for your summer wardrobe needs ASAP!

I hope everyone had an amazing Memorial Day weekend and has a sorta easy time getting back to reality! :)

Top: c/o Billabong
Shorts: c/o Billabong
Sandals: c/o Billabong
Bag: c/o Billabong
Hat: c/o LuLu*s [similar]
Sunglasses: c/o Woodzee
Bracelets: c/o Color by Amber

Is it too early to be excited for summer?
Cus I'm excited. Too excited.

Besides all the swimsuits that are going to start piling up in my closet, I think I'm most excited for the cute cover-ups I get to wear to the beach (or lake or pool or anywhere really). I looove wearing any sort of cover-up because it's basically wearing two outfits at once. You wear your cover-up to the beach then you take it off and show off your cute swimmies!

Well I couldn't wait for the official summer solstice to bust out my beachwear. Especially not when Billabong has all the goodies my summer wardrobe is dying for! Beachwear is all about being light and fun and this off the shoulder top is just that. I love the boho vibes it gives to the outfit, as well as how perfectly it goes with these floral shorts! I'm already internet stalking for more of both of these items because I cannot get enough. And of course, a beach look is not complete without some fringe: cue the sandals and bag. Woo! Also, I was getting major Coachella envy this past weekend so wearing this festival-esque outfit made things a tiny bit better. :)

Now let's get to the good stuff.
Billabong is giving you a chance to win a $250 gift card with an amazing GIVEAWAY!
If you've got no chill like me and you're ready for a summer wardrobe (or even a season appropriate spring wardrobe), then you need need need to enter this GIVEAWAY right now! What's a better way to kick off your summer than with a SHOPPING SPREE?!?

Just enter your info in the spaces below (make sure you use an active email account because that's how you will be contacted if you win!) and tell all your friends to enter too because you get extra entries for every friend you refer!

Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor!

Swim Top: c/o Kortni Jeane
Swim Bottoms: c/o Kortni Jeane
Hat: c/o Billabong
Sandals: Reef c/o Flip Flop Shop [similar]
Sunglasses: c/o FREYRS

Would you believe me if I said that literally 10 minutes after I took these photos, a huge rainstorm rolled in? Well you better believe it cus that's exactly what happened. In fact, I even documented it on my VLOG for that day! That's my hometown, Hilo for ya. One minute it's super sunny, the next it's pouring rain and vice versa.

On this beautiful day in Hawaii, I thought it was only appropriate that I wore this bright, fun swimsuit from Kortni Jeane! If you live in Utah and have an Instagram, then I'm sure you've seen or heard of Kortni Jeane swimsuits at least one time or another. They're known for their versatile mix and match pieces that are bold, fun, and super flattering! I had the hardest time choosing what combination of swimmies I wanted because there were so many styles to choose from! It just goes to show how Kortni Jeane caters to every type of personality, body type, and occasion you can possibly imagine. I ended up going with the Sweetheart Top in Citron and the High-Waisted Bottoms in Pineapple print, because if you're going somewhere tropical, you need at least one thing in pineapple print. I mean, that's just like the rules of feminism. #sofetch

Also, as we were walking along this beautifully isolated beach, we came across a little turtle friend! We didn't even notice him at first because he was so still (I thought he was a rock), but then he started waving his fins at us and it nearly gave me a heart attack! We chatted with him for a little bit then we let him have his space because if a bunch of strangers came up to me and ruined my sun-bathing time, I'd get a little annoyed.

I hope you're all having an awesome Tuesday!

ps. This is my last Hawaii post of my little vacation series! On Thursday I'll be posting my first Japan outfit! Woo!

Cheers.
