Second Albion Fit summer look comin' atcha! :)
If you missed the first look click here

When it comes to coverups I like switching it up depending on the style of my swimsuit! This Maria Crop Top suit had a more sporty vibe so I decided to match it with a pair of short overalls. I think it ties the look together pretty well--what do you guys think? ;)

Funny story about this photo/video shoot day.
It was already pretty overcast when Gentri and I arrived at Utah Lake. We got some pretty cute shots in when the wind started to slowly pick up. Cotton was flying everywhere (which actually gave a pretty cool effect in the video--you can take a look at that below) and the dock started rocking a little bit, but it wasn't too much to handle. All of a sudden, the wind went INSANE. Like hurricane insane. We were at the end of the dock so I SPRINTED down to grab my lens I had set down at the beginning of it because I was terrified it would fly into the water. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something fly off the dock into the water but I didn't think much of it because I thought it was a plastic bag or something. A few seconds later we hear this older man (who had been fishing on the same dock) yelling at us: "Your clothes!!!"

It was at that moment that I realized that the "plastic bag" I saw fly into the water was my pair of overalls (yes, the overalls seen in these pictures hahaha). We ran back to the old man and I thought for sure my overalls had already sunk to the bottom but this superhero fisherman had HOOKED my overalls with his fishing pole and FISHED them out of the lake!!! Thank goodness Mr. Fisherman was there because I would have a) forgotten all about my overalls and b) remembered them later and it would have been way way way too late.

When I got home I ran those overalls through two cycles of the wash cus that lake be nasttttty.

Anyway, so that's the story of this day and these overalls and the lone fisherman.
You're welcome.

Everyday Adventure w/ VOORAY

Friday, May 13, 2016

Hat: c/o Vooray
Top: Madison & Sixth
Joggers: c/o Vooray
Duffel Bag: c/o Vooray
Sneakers: Converse
Choker: Nordstrom Rack [similar]
Bracelets: c/o Color By Amber

Wanna hear something crazy?
The last time I posted about Vooray was 2 years ago, also in May and also featuring Samson (when he was a fetus). I had no idea about the coincidences until I was writing this post! I guess the blog stars aligned and it was meant to be! ;) Check out that ancient post HERE.

Vooray has always been one of my favorite local brands here in Utah. I love their mission. I love their gear. I love their adventurous and ambitious vibe that they give off through their social media and website! Being from Hawaii I'm all about living that everyday adventure life where you take every moment and opportunity to live your life to the fullest and enjoy the surroundings around you. It was definitely different and a big adjustment going from living the tropical island life where hiking through the rainforest and swimming in the ocean was only a 10-minute drive away to living in the desert where the mountains are literally in your backyard. Utah and Hawaii and quite polar opposites when it comes to terrain but I've found that both environments have their benefits!

I've been inspired by Vooray lately to take opportunities to go on more everyday adventures. Just wearing their gear makes me want to go hike up the mountains or take a bike ride to the lake. I love how colorful and vibrant their designs are, especially this Roadie Gym Duffel that has the cutest tropical pattern. Their whole bag collection in fact is full of fun designs (floral, polka dots, etc.) and has a variety of different sizes depending on what adventure you're setting out to go on. Also, their hats don't disappoint as well in the design department, as there are so many cute styles to choose from that are perfect for summertime! The fun and playful vibes of Vooray products seriously breathe life into me and I can't wait to show them off this season!

Right now you can use the code AHAMILTON25 to get 25% off your entire Vooray order!
The code is good until June 30th so make sure you take advantage of that awesome discount!

Well, now that Friday is finally here I say we all deserve to celebrate by binge watching Netflix.
amiright?

Have a great weekend, friends!

Cheers.

Jacket: c/o Cotopaxi
Shirt: c/o Cotopaxi
Jeans: Free People c/o Zappos
Sneakers: Converse
Sunglasses: c/o FREYRS
Backpack: c/o Cotopaxi

As I am typing up this blog post I am watching the cheer movie that started it all, the original "Bring It On."
Was this movie always super cheezy or was this level of cheeziness socially acceptable in the year 2000 so we were all blinded?
Either way, this movie is the best.
Missy's the poo.

Welcome to another blog post from my Hawaii vacay this past Christmas!
Today I'm highlighting the awesomely wonderful company, Cotopaxi! I've worked with Cotopaxi a few times already on my blog and every time I wear their gear, I just wanna go out and adventure the world--in this case, Hawaii! I'm also always a huge fan of companies that give back to those in need. Cotopaxi funds solutions that address the most persistent needs of those living in extreme poverty and I think that is freakin' awesome. One of their mottos is "Gear for Good" and that's exactly what they are! I've also had the chance to be part of a video that highlight their products and even got to visit their headquarters and check out where the magic happens! Their gear is cool and the people behind them are even cooler.

Today I'm sporting Cotopaxi's Tikal Active Shell Jacket in the color Thin Mint (anyone craving cookies?) and I'm seriously in love with this baby. I actually saw this jacket while I was touring their headquarters and knew I had to have it the moment I laid eyes on it! It's extremely lightweight and waterproof, which was perfect for home because despite popular belief, it rains A LOT on my side of the island--so I wore this jacket almost every time I went outside. This jacket is ESSENTIAL to those of you who live in rainy areas and for those days where it's sunny, but a little breezy. Their Nazca 24L Travel Pack that I'm wearing made traveling and flying so much easier. I took it on as one of my carry-ons on my flight to Hawaii AND Japan, and it fit everything I needed and stored away like a dream. I'll be writing up another post later on that highlights this pack a little more, as well as shares what I packed in it so look out for that! Aaaaaand of course, you can't overlook how awesome this Do Good T-shirt is because... you just can't. :)

Check out more products from Cotopaxi HERE and support a company that does good for the world!

And now, back to the spirit fingers...

ps. If you haven't yet, be sure to check out my HAWAII TRAVEL VLOGS!

Cheers. (lol)

Teenage Angst

Friday, November 6, 2015

Shirt: c/o Groopdealz [similar]
Jeans: c/o Aeropostale [ON SALE FOR $25]
Hat: c/o zeroUV
Shoes: Converse
Watch: c/o Feral Watches
Backpack: c/o Aeropostale

This outfit reminds me of something I would wear back in high school. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've worn it....in high school. Maybe it's the backpack? Or the tomboy-chic vibe? Either way it brought back lots of memories of my teenage angst dayzzz.

Seriously guys, I was all about that rocker chick, emo girl, omg-this-song-is-about-my-life, life. However, as moody as I was in high school, I gotta say that my taste is music was pretty on point. At least in my opinion. As much as I've changed since graduating in 09, mentally, physically, and emotionally, if a Fall Out Boy or Forever the Sickest Kids ever comes on during the present day, I'll lose all chill.

This outfit/post inspired me to look up all the music on Spotify that I used to listen to back in the day and man it took me down memory lane. Listening to one song sparked a memory that reminded me of another song, which reminded me of a time where I listened to this one song, etc. etc. Needless to say I sorta kinda got lost in the music and when I looked up at the clock it was nearly 2 AM. Yep.

Anyway, I decided to share that playlist with you folks just so you can reunite with your teenage angst high school self. So sit back, relax, and remember the days when the biggest worry you had was if your crush would notice your cute outfit next day at school (unless that is still your biggest worry... well then, good luck). Weren't those the days? (not) Enjoy!

*If the embedded player doesn't work, here is the LINK to the playlist. You might need to sign up for a Spotify account but it's fast and freeeeee*

Plaid to the Bone

Thursday, October 15, 2015

Top: c/o Modbod
Plaid Shirt: c/o Billabong
Shorts: c/o Aeropostale [similar]
Shoes: Converse
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington

p-p-p-p-p-p-plaaaaaid.
(duh nuh nuh nuh nuh)

Yes, I went there. We're keeping things punny today.

I'm keeping it super casual today with an outfit I would wear to an outdoor activity of some sort. I'm thinking maybe a day at the dog park, a casual hike up the canyon, and/or power walking around the block. The chilly weather is starting to kick in here in Provo but it's only cold in the morning! Once it hits around noon, it starts really heating up. It's like summer trying to hold on with the tips of its fingers...

I love these Signature Rev Tees from Modbod because they go with pretty much everything. I love how flattering the scoop neck is and the variety of colors it comes in! Also, this flannel from Billabong is the king of cozy. I'm wearing it around my waist because it was quite warm that day but when it's wrapped around my arms and chest, I'm quite warm. The material is so soft and it even has that cool retro 70s vibe to it, no?

Anywho, hope you take on Thursday like a bo$$ and you're plaid to the bone.

If you missed it, watch my DIY Halloween Decoration video HERE!
It's a fun one, I promise.

Cheers.
