Swimsuit: c/o Beverly Swimwear
Roundie: c/o SwimZip
Sunglasses: H&M

Whoa.
Hey there.
Stranger.
Remember me?
My name is Ariel if you forgot...

But for real, welcome BACK to my blog!

I apologize for the month of radio silence on here but when you're juggling a bunch of priorities in life, one of them is bound to eventually fall, roll under under the couch, and get covered in a dust for a bit. And unfortunately, that priority ended up being my blog. But after some groveling and begging for forgiveness, Auteur Ariel and I have finally made amends and we are BACK IN BUSINESS baby!

With long breaks come a looooot of catching up to do. I have about 4-5 outfits still to post that feature my old hair and previous seasons so please bear with me as we take a visit to the past for a bit! :)

Today's post is from our trip back home to Hawaii for my brother's wedding (back in June, hehe)! During our short visit I was able to squeeze in a stop at one of my favorite beaches on the island. It's a bit of a walk to get to and most people/tourists don't know about it so it's perfect for a day of peace and relaxation. When you're from a vacation destination, it's almost impossible to go to a beach that isn't overrun by tourists so I always tend to spend my time in the lesser known areas of Hawaii. It's one of the perks of being able to call this island my home.

If you're going on vacation somewhere warm or you just live in a forever summer climate, make sure you check out Beverly Swimwear and SwimZip! Beverly Swimwear has custom-made swimmies that are so cute and flattering to the body, and SwimZip has awesome roundie towels that are necessary for the beach! Just because it's nearing the cold seasons, doesn't mean the beach partying needs to stop. ;)

Okay guys, I PROMISE this time I'm sticking to posting AT LEAST twice a week.
There.
I said it.
Now you can hold me to it.

Btw, I'm always posting on my Snapchat and Instagram so if you want to stay updated with my life make sure you follow me there!

As always guys, keep it classy.

Cheers.

Summer Details

Dress: c/o Billabong
Hat: c/o Billabong
Sunglasses: c/o Woodzee
Sandals: Salt Walter Sandals

Feeling all sorts of ironic right now.
I'm currently putting together this blog post of my tropical mexico look while sitting in a dreary waiting room of an auto shop. #life

For the past few months our car has been doing this thing where if it's going over 60 mph, the front tires start shaking unless you let off the gas. So basically--every time I drive on the freeway which is all the time, there's a possibility the wheels could fly off and I could die. Yep.

So we thought it would be best to get that fixed.

Today's outfit features one of my favorite cover-ups from Billabong! It's an adorable, light summer dress that has the coolest macrame details, ever. It's even inspired me to try out some DIY macrame projects that I'm excited to share with you guys real soon! Seriously, you would be surprised how easy it is to make your own Urban Outfitters-inspired macrame wall hangings for more than half the price.

If you've got some last minute summer vacation plans or you live in a place where it's summer 24/7, make sure you check out Billabong and their amazing collection!

I'm taking a last-minute trip to San Francisco this weekend to see an old friend so make sure you follow me on Snapchat (@heyitsaray) and Instagram (@arielrayhamilton) to stay updated on my adventures! I'm going to see Coldplay on Saturday night and I may or may not cry from all the excitement...

Have a great weekend, friends!

Cheers.

Forever Summer x Billabong

Romper: c/o Billabong
Sunglasses: c/o Woodzee
Sandals: Salt Water Sandals
Bag: Color by Amber
Bracelets: c/o Color by Amber

How much would you judge me if I said these pictures were from when I went to Mexico... 6 MONTHS AGO.

.......

At least I posted them within the same year, right?
:D

Well guys, summer is coming to a close and it's pretty bittersweet. The weather here is still blazing hot though (but give that a few weeks). Schools are back in session. Leaves are showing a hint of red in the mountains. And it's officially September. Here's to another chapter of summer fun ending and to a brand spankin' new chapter of scarves, boots, and mugs of hot cocoa. I'm sorry I can't help it--I'm such a FALL girl.

As much as I love everything that is autumn, there are of course lots of things about summer that I'm going to miss! Pool parties, barbecues, carefree atmospheres, and of course, the fashion. Cover-ups are one of my favorite summer pieces (I think I've mentioned that several times in my blog haha) and I love when I can find different variations of them! One of my favorites have been rompers--like this denim one from Billabong! I love how casual-looking it is and the laid-back vibe it gives off! This was perfect to wear around in Cancun because we were going in and out of the resort all the time--I didn't feel underdressed anytime we were indoors or overdressed when we were at the beach!

Long live the summer of 2016.
It was definitely full of memories and one for the books. :)

Stick around for the last of my summer outfits coming to the blog in the next couple weeks.
Then.... the fall party begins.
*I've already used this gif before but I'm binge watching Parks & Rec again so I thought it was appropriate...

Woo!

Cheers.

Favorite, ever.

Swimsuit: c/o Albion Fit
Sunglasses: c/o Woodzee
Bracelets: c/o Color by Amber

Growing up I've never been a big fan of one pieces.
I feel like they were never flattering on me and I could never find any cute ones. They made me look flatter than I already was and didn't give me a figure at all. I felt like I was supposed to be on my way to swim laps at the pool than off to spend a fun day at the beach. It was just no bueno.

It wasn't until my 20s that I felt like a new wave and trend of one pieces took over the fashion world. Suddenly I started seeing cute, adorable swimsuits all over the scene! I began to sprout a newfound love for one pieces and the companies that actually took their time to make flattering, modest swimsuits! One of those companies happen to be a local well-known favorite, called Albion Fit. Albion Fit has THE cutest prints of swimsuits that come in the biggest variety of styles! They have one pieces, tankinis, crops, high-waisted bottoms, cutouts, and much much more! Their swimsuits make you want to wear modest suits because they're cute and not just to cover up.

The Weekender swimsuit I'm wearing in today's post in a faaaaaaavorite of mine by far. I've been really into the halter style of swimsuits lately so I loved that they carried a one piece in that specific style! Besides the halter top, there are just so many details about this suit that make it so top notch. The suit cuts in at the waist to give you a super flattering figure and lets you show off your curves. The back has criss-cross straps that help the suit fit nice and snug while also giving off a fun, flirty vibe. The entire suit is fully lined, comes with a built-in shelf bra (to help those less fortunate like moi), aaaaaaand the booty has coverage. Can a suit GET any more perfect than that???

Besides swimsuits, Albion Fit has workout wear and casual wear (they just released some adorable rompers) that are just as classy as their suits. If you haven't given them a look yet, you are definitely missing out!

I hope you all are having an amazing week so far!
ps. these photos were taken while I was in Mexico... 4 MONTHS AGO.
I fail at blogging. I fail at life.

Love you all.

Cheers.

Jacket: c/o Windsor
Scarf: H&M [similar]
Sweater: c/o Windsor
Jeans: c/o LuLu*s [similar]
Bag: c/o Fawn Design
Boots: c/o Khombu

Soooooooo these photos are a MAJOR throwback.
6 months to be exact..... whoops!

In all the craziness that was 2016, this outfit somehow got lost among my Japan posts and never ended up seeing the light of day--till now! But you know what they say: Better late than never. :) Even if it is 90 degree weather outside and this outfit no longer is relevant to the current season or trends...

These photos were taken in Arashiyama--one of my favorite places we visited while we were in Japan! It was the same day we visited the Monkey Park and Bamboo Forest AND rode around the area on bikes! I would highly, highly recommend visiting there if you ever find yourself in that neck of the woods, especially if the weather is warm! The scenery was drop dead gorgeous and there was always something around to do or explore. Just looking at these pictures makes me want to go back already! Perhaps next year? We shall see...

Since I'm throwing it back with these pics I might as well leave this vlog here for you guys as well! ;) It's our adventure from the day we visited Arashiyama. Feel free to binge watch all my Japan vlogs as well as subscribe if you want to say updated with my videos! (I post every week, woo!)

Have a great week, friends!

Cheers.

LuLu*s in Japan: Nara Deer Park

Friday, April 8, 2016

Poncho: c/o LuLu*s
Turtleneck Sweater: c/o LuLu*s
Leggings: Madewell
Boots: c/o Khombu
Hat: c/o LuLu*s
Phone Case: c/o LuLu*s

OH HEY THERE BLOGOSPHERE.
You stranger, you.

Yeah, yeah, I've been MIA for a little bit. Ten days traveling and ten days being sick will do that to ya. But I'm back now so hopefully all is forgiven.

I've been SO behind on my blogging that yes, I'm still posting outfits from my JAPAN TRIP that I took in JANUARY... smh. I'm playing catch-up now so you will be seeing pictures of ombre-Ariel pre-hair makeover, for those of you confused about why I'm back to being blonde-ish. I'm trying to get all my winter outfits posted before the weather gets too warm or else people will think I don't know what season I'm in...

We took these pictures when we visited Nara, a place that is known for their free-roaming friendly deer that are literally everywhere. I learned though that they become the opposite of friendly when you have food in your hands. I got swarmed by like 10 deer when I took out some crackers to feed them and they were not polite about snatching those crackers out of my hand. Then when I ran out of food they starting biting other things, like my jacket, poncho, and even my camera strap. Not nice at all. But if you didn't have food they just kind of hung out and didn't really give a crap about you being around. If you want to, you can watch the vlog from that day, HERE! :)

I loooooove this poncho because of how huge it is! It even doubled as a blanket when we rode the train and it got chilly because it was nice and thick. Also, this Brixton hat is not your typical hat. While most wide-brim hats are floppy, this one is made out of a stiff material so it holds its shape! A perfect fashion staple.

If you missed my previous two LuLu*s in Japan looks, check them out HERE and HERE!

Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend!
