Too plaid, so sad

Fleece: c/o AMIclubwear
Scarf: Zara [similar]
Leggings: Madewell
Boots: c/o Khombu

Yep, I do indeed own that scarf that everybody and their dog seem to have these days.
And of course, I loooooove it.

The only this is: it's HUGE.
Like reaaaaaaaally huge.
I demonstrated how humongous this scarf is in a post last year here.

I'd like to wear it more often but because of how chunky it is, I can't seem to find cute ways to wear it without looking like I'm literally wearing a blanket.
Sooooo.
To all of you ladies who do own this beautiful scarf, can you please share your secrets of how you style it? Ways you tuck in the excess parts, certain pieces of clothing you wear it with, etc. Because I really don't want to opt into having to trim it down and destroy it accidentally in the process.

Please and thank you :)

Happy Hump Day.
Whenever Wednesday rolls around I'm ready to fall into a nice mid-week coma.
This dog has got the art of snuggling down.

Stay cuddly friends.

Cheers.

PLAIDnesday w/ Color by Amber

Bracelets: c/o Color by Amber
Scarf: ZARA
Sweater: Forever 21
Boots: PacSun
Sunglasses: PacSun [similar]

Happy PLAIDnesday!
(see what I did there?)
Today I am showing off these lovely bracelets from Color by Amber's new Plaid Collection!
Who is Amber you ask? Well, she is actually more of an idea than a person. Amber is the concept of creating gorgeous materials from our natural world and encapsulating them in stunning ecoresin. Color by Amber is made with revolutionary materials that are lightweight, comfortable, durable, and most importantly, beautiful!

What I love most about Color by Amber is that they make all of their jewelry with 40% recycled content! They are big believers in preserving the earth's natural resources, which is why they send nothing to landfill. Yes, ZERO landfill!!! They are also a member of 1% for the Planet and donate 1% of profits to protecting the earth's valuable resources. Color by Amber inspires me to go green!

Also, to go along with today's theme of Plaid, hence the post title "PLAIDnesday," I styled these lovely pieces with a ZARA plaid scarf! You might recognize this scarf from my The Hunt post I did a little while back. Well, I finally caved in and bought myself one. :) I'll admit, it's a lot chunkier than it looked online but it's definitely going to keep my neck nice and cozy when the weather freezes up. Not to mention it can double as a blanket when needed. ;)

Sticky Rainbows Apparel

Monday, August 12, 2013

While Connor and I were visiting Hawaii this summer, we took a look around the local farmers market. There were lots of interesting booths to look at but there was one in particular that caught our eye. A local apparel company called Sticky Rainbows had a booth filled with colorful tank tops and t-shirts with screen prints of intricate and vintage-inspired designs.

I couldn't take my eyes off all the cool shirts they had! Brad, the owner of the company, was nice enough to let us see some of the designs up close and try a couple of them on!

We decided we couldn't leave without buying ourselves each a shirt so I picked an awesome Owl Head Dress Feathers Tank Top and Connor got a Makalawena Beach Hawaii Retro T-Shirt. We love them!
Not only do these shirts have awesome designs on it, but they are soft, quality Next Level Apparel.

Check out how we each styled our shirts!

Order one of your own online! Check out their site and shop!

Special thanks to Brad for allowing me to feature his company on my blog!
Oh, and kudos to my husband for being a patient and handsome model.

Stay Classy.
