A couple weekends ago I got to take part in a photoshoot for the cutest local boutique called Madison & Sixth. It was so much fun getting to hang out with my favorite blogger buddies and play dress up for the day! If you live in Utah, you NEED to check out Madison & Sixth for your Back-to-School shopping. They have such a variety of clothes for every type of style you could be into! I seriously wanted to keep every outfit I wore.

I've spent the past 18 years of my life in school, I think I'm good.

But if I were going back to school in the fall, this is an outfit I'd definitely wear! :) It has elements of both fall and summer: a knit cardigan and fedora to represent fall and a fun, bright dress to represent summer. I mean, after all, although school starts up in the fall, we'll still have summer on our minds! Everyone knows the first day of school is a fashion show (whether you're in grade school or college), so dressing your best is essential. Looking cute is important, but also feeling comfortable is a must and this outfit has got both of those down!

If you're looking for a good place to shop, Aeropostale has a great selection of back to school clothes! I got both my dress and cardigan from there and I loooove it! Although I'm not going back to school in the fall, I still love the thrill of shopping for a new fall wardrobe! I love the warm weather of spring and summer, but my heart just belongs in fall! For some reason I'm always drawn to fall trends and colors: boots, scarves, cardigans, and maroons, olives, and tans. During other seasons I have to force myself not to wear them because I look out of place, so I'm sooooo excited to finally be able to wear these trends when they're in style. ;)

Yesterday I did some good ole fashion Back-To-School shopping. I was kind of sad when I realized that Tuesday will be my LAST first day of school. Ever. It's crazy to think I only have a year left of school and then it's on to the real world.

I am so excited to update my Fall wardrobe with these new finds! I think my favorite color of Fall would be Olive/Green. Not to ride the vain train, but I'm a big fan of the way it looks on my skin (being a darker skin tone and all). I did all my damage at Cotton On, American Eagle, Forever 21, J. Crew Factory, and Wet Seal. Bless these stores' hearts.

I must say, my favorite steal of the day was my Boombox Stormtrooper Muscle Tank from Forever 21! Nothing like a little Star Wars to make your outfit retro. And how adorable is that floral backpack from Wet Seal? I haven't shopped in Wet Seal for a while because in the past I thought the styles they sold didn't reflect my own. But I saw that bag online and decided to check to see if they had it in the store. Lucky for me, I snagged the last one (fist pump)--and to my surprise, I also walked out with some combats boots and a jacket! Looks like I might be shopping there more often now!
Oh, and yes, I did buy TWO more fedoras. I think I have a problem guys!

Let's face it, the first day of school--whether you're in grade school or college--is always a fashion show. You want to make a great first impression and enter that classroom with a Bang! Also, I've always felt like the first day of school is like the first day of Fall fashion! I can officially bust out my scarves, boots, coats, and layer it up!
