BriteCrochet: Neon Pink Infinity Scarf

Thursday, October 17, 2013

Infinity Scarf: c/o BriteCrochet
Cardigan: J. Crew Factory
Boots: PacSun

How fun is this Neon Pink Infinity Scarf from BriteCrochet? I love the pop of color it gives to an outfit--especially during these upcoming seasons where neutrals rule the wardrobe department. I seriously can't help but be in a good mood when I wear this scarf because it is so bright and cheerful! Not to mention it's thick and cozy, keeping your neck nice and warm from the chilly Autumn air.

BriteCrochet offers handmade crochet items including headbands, beanies, infinity scarves, and their newest product which I featured in my last post, a buttoned cowl! Their colors range from earth tones to neons--which is their specialty, as you can see from my amazing scarf! Want an adorable crochet product of your own? Well, BriteCrochet is offering FREE SHIPPING for all Auteur Ariel readers! Just type in BRITEFALL13 at checkout and you're good to go! (this coupon code is only valid 72 hours from today so hurry hurry!) BriteCrochet products is a perfect addition to your Fall and Winter wardrobe!

Shirt-Forever 21 // Cardigan-Forever 21 // Pants-Cotton On // Hat-Cotton On // Bag-Coach // Boots-[Similar]

Comic Con was in SLC this past weekend! I didn't get to go so this shirt/outfit was my tribute to the event haha.

The first time I laid eyes on this gem of a shirt was on the app, ShopKick (shout out to my fellow ShopKickers!). I immediately went to Forever 21's site & to my disappointment, it was sold out. ): However, a few days later while doing some back to school shopping at the Forever 21 at South Towne Center in Sandy, lo and behold! There was the Stormtrooper shirt chilling on the rack! I didn't even have to think twice before I bought it. (:

Flowers in the Fall

Jacket-Wet Seal // Jeans-American Eagle // Boots-Wet Seal // Backpack-Wet Seal // Earrings-Thrifted! // Necklace-c/o Wild Butterfly Boutique

Is it wrong of me that I still like wearing florals in the Fall? I purposely bought a floral backpack for school so I could wear something with flowers on it every day.
I'm so weird.

So I am obsessed with my Long Chevron Necklace from Wild Butterfly Boutique. Like no joke, guys.
I am not a huge fan of long necklaces--I just have a hard time finding shirts that look good with them. But for some reason, this chevron necklace goes with EVERYTHING! I've only had it for a little over a week and I've already worn it with like, 5 outfits.
It's so small and dainty, yet it pops on every outfit!
I love it!

Check back tomorrow for a fun giveaway I'm doing with Wild Butterfly Boutique! You could win your own chevron necklace or anything your heart desires from their adorable shop!
I'm so excited to be partnering up with them!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Why I Don't Wear Yellow

Wednesday, September 4, 2013

Shirt-Forever 21 [Similar] // Jeans-American Eagle // Shoes-BCBG // Necklace- c/o Wild Butterfly Boutique
*btw, can you tell my shirt is new? darn creases.

As I mentioned in my BTS HAUL post, my favorite color of Fall is Green. More specifically, Hunter Green! I just love the way it looks on my skin! Unlike the color yellow.

Want to know why I don't like wearing yellow?

One time in high school I wore a yellow shirt. As I was walking through the hallways, one of my guy friends called my name and said, "you look like a rotten banana today!"
Some people laughed. Some people "scolded" my friend and told him that was a mean comment. I could tell by the sincerity in his voice that he didn't mean it offensively, but the damage was already done.

I felt like a rotten banana the entire day.
And trust me,
nobody likes to feel like a rotten banana.

So that is the sad sad story of why I don't wear yellow. I'll admit, I have some yellow t-shirts I use to workout and I'll wear some variations of yellow like mustard, but I try to stay away from bright, bold primary color yellow.

Brown + Yellow = No Bueno.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

On a "brighter" note, how adorable is my Mini Bubble Statement Necklace from Wild Butterfly Boutique? I am obsessed with it! Bet you wish you had one of your own, huh?
Well, guess what?
I'm giving you guys an opportunity to get one of your own bubble necklaces--or any item in WBB's shop--for FREE! This Friday I'm partnering up with Wild Butterfly Boutique to bring you a giveaway! So STAY TUNED for that!
Also, I have another outfit I'm posting tomorrow that features their Long Chevron Necklace.
Yay for awesome sponsors!!!

Never Wear Skulls To Screenwriting

Thursday, August 22, 2013

Shirt-Ross [Similar] // Hat-Forever 21 // Jeans-American Eagle //  Shoes-Thrifted [Similar]

Last year I took a Screenwriting class. One day in class we were discussing themes, motifs, and symbols. When my teacher asked what kind of symbols represent bad/evil, one of my classmates said "skulls."

Everyone got quiet all of a sudden and stared at me. Confused, I looked down and realized I was a wearing a shirt covered in skulls.

Everyone, including me, erupted in laughter at the coincidence.
It's safe to say that I never wore my skull shirt to Screenwriting class ever again.

We are supposed to get our Internet and cable fixed today! No promises though. But hopefully everything works out so you guys don't have to suffer through me whining in future posts.

Oh, and I have some exciting news! Tomorrow I'm going to start a weekly post called Feature Friday where I spotlight fellow bloggers, artists, products, stores, restaurants--basically whatever I feel deserves recognition!

Here's a hint for tomorrow's feature guest: She recently released an original song entitled "Across My Heart." Can you guess who it is?

Here are some bonus pics of me looking cool. Nailed it.
