What's in my Purse?

I've been meaning to do a post like this for a while now so I'm excited I'm finally getting around to actually doing it! I'm always curious about what each person carries around in their purse or bag because I feel like everyone is so different (yet similar) when it comes to our essentials! Today I'm sharing with you my purse/bag essentials that I always carry around with me no matter where I go because you can never be too prepared, right?

1) A cute pair of sunnies. You never know when that sun is gonna peak out from behind the clouds!

2) My phone, duh. No explanation needed.

3) Mints or gum. So important to have on hand especially when you go out to eat! I'm always stocked because I like food with lots of garlic in it. hahahaha.

4) Floss. An underrated lifesaver. I am prone to getting food stuck in my teeth.

5) Travel-size perfume. For a mid-day refresher.

6) My wallet, another duh.

7) Flash drive. This one is a little random and odd, I know. But as a blogger/videographer/YouTuber it's never a bad idea to have something you can carry files and data on!

8) Hair elastics and bobby pins. I cannot eat (enjoyably) with my hair down--random fact about me--so I always have an elastic on me as well as some pins for flyaways! Also, does anyone know anything about the black hole that these babies disappear to?

9) Pen and Sharpie. Always, always, always carry a pen with you. Having a sharpie in my purse has saved my butt so many times at the post office.

10) Blotting Paper. A less messier and faster option than carrying powder around.

The Secret to Healthy Hair w/ Living Proof

The thing I get complimented the most about (besides my killer dance moves) is my hair. I've probably gotten every question in the book asked about it. "Is that your real hair?" "Do you wear extensions?" "How does your hair grow so fast?" "How did you get it to be so long?" etc. etc. The question I get asked the most though is: "What's your secret to having such healthy hair?"

I'm going to be vain here for a sec guys. I will proudly admit that I was blessed with an amazing head full of luscious hair. Even though it has a mind of its own sometimes, it never fails to let me down when I want it to look bomb.com. However, my hair is quite the snob when it comes to products. If I use any type of generic, bargain brand of shampoo or conditioner, my hair can instantly feel it the moment I step out of the shower. It gets really tangled, feels really stringy, and gets oily very fast. So because my hair is a high-strung diva, I have to make sure I use top quality products to keep it happy and healthy.

Recently I decided to give Living Proof products a try and guys, my hair totally approves! From its amazing smell to top notch formulas, these babies have become my best kept secret to quality hair care...until now because I'm obviously sharing the secret with you. duh.

Conditioner is probably my favorite product I put in my hair (whenever I get around to actually washing it). I just love how good my hair feels right after I rinse it out--I know, I'm weird. Instead of "conditioning" my hair and detangling it, I end up ripping out gobs of hair just trying to apply it "root to tip." This restore conditioner detangles my hair as I apply it (hallelujah)! 3) style | lab satin hair serum

With all the curling, straightening, and color-dying I do to my hair, I'm pretty sure my ends want to murder me. They get disgustingly dry and frizzy--especially during the winter. This satin hair serum provides the smoothest hair possible and instant frizz protection. I just apply it to damp hair (avoiding the roots), blow dry, and voila! Instant smoothness. It also adds shine, movement and softness. It honestly makes my ends feel the way they do right after a haircut: healthy and fresh!

This is as natural as my hair gets (minus the color, obvi). I even let it air dry after showering to show how much of a mane it is!

If there is one thing my eyelashes are in dire need of, it's volume. Because of my asian-ness, I was cursed blessed with very thin, very minimal lashes. For a while I thought my lashes needed length so I would buy lengthening mascaras--I looked like I had spider legs stuck to my lash line (not a good look). Affordable Drugstore Fall Makeup Tutorial + VIDEO

Heyyyy guyyyyys. Today’s video is for all you beautiful ladies who are on the hunt for AFFORDABLE, quality makeup! Healthier Nails w/ Nail Medic

Fact: My nails are dry, brittle, and damaged.

For as long as I can remember, I've always kept my nails short. It's not because I don't like them long, it's because if they got too long, they would inevitably break at some point. My nails are naturally dry and weak, and it's something I always wished I could change about them. I didn't wanna have to worry about breaking a nail every time I open a can of soda or accidentally knock my hand against something.

When I heard about Nail Medic by Pretty Woman, I couldn't wait to try it out! Nail Medic is a product that will cleanse, revitalize and moisturize your nails back to proper health. Above are my nails pre-Nail Medic. As you can tell, they aren't the prettiest sight to see. My cuticles are cracked and peeling. The pinks on my nail plates are faded and dry. My free edges are disgusting. Overall, they aren't the poster children for "healthy nails."

Every night for 4 weeks I did the following easy three-step system.

PHASE 1: NAIL DETOX

First I washed my hands to remove any impurities. I applied 1-2 coats of Nail Detox over my bare nails and allowed it to dry. Nail Detox is an advanced nail cleanser and primer that eliminates impurities caused by environmental stress. It's infused with Cranberry Extract and Lemon Extract which purifies the nail, lifting away embedded grime. It also detoxifies the nail plate, helping it return to a natural, balanced state.

PHASE 2: SHEA TREATMENT

After cleansing my nails with the Nail Detox, I applied Shea Treatment generously to my bare nails and cuticles. Then, I gently massaged it in and allowed it to dry. After the Shea Treatment dried, I applied 1-2 coats of Rise & Shine over my nails. Applying Nail Medic is super fast and easy--it takes me about 5 minutes total to do the whole process. I'm always so impressed by how fast the Rise & Shine top coat dries. By the time I'm done applying it to my right hand, my left had is already dry!
