Irresistible Me Flat Iron Review

Hey frannnnns.

Today I'm sharing my thoughts on the Diamond Flat Iron from Irresistible Me! Owning great quality hair tools is something that's always been important to me because when you've got crazy hair like mine, you gotta bring out the big guns. My requirements when it comes to flat irons are they need to heat up really quick (waiting for a cheap flat iron to heat up is equivalent to waiting for water to boil), does minimal damage (nothing worse than fried hair), and be able to pack on a lot of heat (literally--because I have a LOT of hair).

This is as natural as my hair gets (minus the color, obvi). I even let it air dry after showering to show how much of a mane it is!

The process took about 10-15 minutes, which I was really impressed by because doing my hair can sometimes be an all-day event.

I even got some compliments on how great my hair looked--specifically how long it is. I often forget that straightening your hair makes it look wayyyy longer than usual so there's a definite plus!

Strong Lash Review + Results

Howdy folks.

Today I'm comin' atcha with a review of Strong Lash, an eyelash growth serum!

I'm Asian, so naturally I'm oh so blessed with thin, short, wimpy eyelashes. I've always been jealous of girls with thick, natural lashes because I need to put 5 layers of mascara on just to make it look like I even have eyelashes. I've tried eyelash extensions twice--but I like being able to touch my eyes/fully wash my face so those were fails--and I occasionally use falsies--but it's always depressing at the end of the day when I take them off and I'm back to short-lash reality. I just wanted real, long, natural, lashes.

I was excited to begin using Strong Lash because it has a clinically proven formula that promises fast, noticeable results. The first thing I noticed about it when I open up the bottle was that it had an extremely thin applicator brush attached to the cap--which I love! It's super convenient and you don't end up wasting excess eyelash serum on the brush after application, because you pop it right back into the bottle! When I applied it to the base of my upper and lower lashes, I felt no burning sensation in my eyes--which was such a relief because there was no way I would've been able to sleep that night if my eyes kept irritating me. The application process was SO easy and quick, it literally took me 15-20 seconds.

Below are my BEFORE and AFTER results of using Strong Lash for 8 weeks--and only using one bottle! I was so so SO happy with the results! I started noticing a difference in my lashes about a week after I started using the eyelash serum. One day I curled them and it was like BAM. Insta-lashes. Not only did the length of my lashes improve, my lashes got fuller. I used to have a awkward spaces between chunks of my lashes, but now they're sprouting up everywhere like weeds (the only time I'll positively compare something to a weed...). Hope you all had an amazing week and have fun plans for the weekend! Connor and I saw the Minions movie last night sooooo I'd say our weekend is off to a pretty amazing start. Today I'm sharing a product that has helped me look and feel more refreshed and energized in the morning. It's the VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Mask and I have to say, it's pretty life changing!

Below is a Before and After comparison of wearing six sets of eye masks (one box) over the course of three weeks.

The Before photo is the morning before I wore my first eye mask. I feel like my eyes are naturally a little baggy with some dark circles because I am the worst sleeper. I go to sleep late and I wake up late--which is the perfect recipe for looking and feeling like a zombie in the morning (and pretty much throughout the entire day). Three boxes (18 masks) are a full course of treatment and if I got these great results with only using one box, I can't imagine how awesome three boxes would be! Hope you all enjoyed your weekend festivities and are ready to take on the week! I know what you're thinking: Why the heck are you so chirpy today, don't you usually hate Mondays? Blogger Event: Aveda Beauty Bash

A couple Saturdays ago I attended a blogger event at Aveda in City Creek. For those of you unfamiliar with Aveda, it's a company that manufactures and distributes skin care, cosmetics, perfume, and hair care products. They also train students in cosmetology and esthiology at the Aveda Institutes.

Now what sets Aveda apart from other beauty product companies is that 90% of their essential oils and 89% of their raw herbal ingredients in their products are certified organic. Even their packaging is made from recycled product! Talk about a company that takes "Going Green" seriously! The products we were there to review comes from their new Fall make up line: Heart Lands. To demonstrate the products, the adorable Gentri (from Gentri Lee) gave the already gorgeous Nikki (from Fashions on the Fly) a makeover using the products from the new line. The end result was a fabulous look--perfect for the upcoming Fall season! My favorite is the lipstick she used--it had a dark purple tint which I think is a fun change from the bright red lipstick that most Summer looks have! I might go back and get one for myself real soon! [see pictures below]

I'm still new to the blogosphere so one of my favorite parts of blogger events is meeting new people and getting to know others better! A new friend I made this time was Jessi (from Haircut and General Attitude). She is just as sweet in real life as she is on her blog!
