This outfit is perfect for a nice, lazy weekend, which I am hoping to have!

Style Lately has a great collection of comfy tees and tanks--like this Gold Heart Top--that are just right for lounging in or going out! And can I just say that this cardigan from LuLu*s is probably the coziest piece of clothing I've ever worn? Seriously, I could live in this thing.

For all you Utah peeps, don't forget that tomorrow at 2pm is the Gap fashion show at University Mall! I won't be walking the runway because I can't really walk like a normal person yet with my bum knee--let alone, walk on a runway haha. But I will be there supporting my blogger buddies that are walking the show! Gap also had us style our own mannequins with their clothes so be sure to drop by their store and check out the outfit I put together! It should be a fun event so swing by if you get a chance--and be sure to say hello if you see me there! :)

Blogger Christmas Party

This past Wednesday I went to a Blogger Christmas Party hosted the adorable Gentri Lee! She opened up her home to a group of crazy bloggers to meet, mingle, and exchange white elephant gifts! I had so much fun getting to know all the local bloggers and making new friends! There's something about meeting the face behind a blog you follow, that makes you feel less of a creeper when you stalk their blog after. Am I right? :)

Blogger Event: Aveda Beauty Bash

A couple Saturdays ago I attended a blogger event at Aveda in City Creek. For those of you unfamiliar with Aveda, it's a company that manufactures and distributes skin care, cosmetics, perfume, and hair care products. They also train students in cosmetology and esthiology at the Aveda Institutes.

Now what sets Aveda apart from other beauty product companies is that 90% of their essential oils and 89% of their raw herbal ingredients in their products are certified organic. Even their packaging is made from recycled product! Talk about a company that takes "Going Green" seriously! The products we were there to review comes from their new Fall make up line: Heart Lands. To demonstrate the products, the adorable Gentri (from Gentri Lee) gave the already gorgeous Nikki (from Fashions on the Fly) a makeover using the products from the new line. The end result was a fabulous look--perfect for the upcoming Fall season! My favorite is the lipstick she used--it had a dark purple tint which I think is a fun change from the bright red lipstick that most Summer looks have! I might go back and get one for myself real soon! [see pictures below]

I'm still new to the blogosphere so one of my favorite parts of blogger events is meeting new people and getting to know others better! A new friend I made this time was Jessi (from Haircut and General Attitude). She is just as sweet in real life as she is on her blog!

Edgy Chiffon // Blogger Event

I had fun getting dolled up for the Utah Style Icon Awards! I wanted to go for an edgy look so I followed a couple Youtube tutorials on how to do my Hair + Makeup. I'm always looking for an excuse to wear my favorite high-low chiffon skirt so this event was the perfect opportunity!

The Utah Style Icon Awards was my first blogger event! My friend and fellow blogger, Jessica, invited me to go with her and I was so glad I agreed. I met so many amazing people and made some new friends!

It was a fun experience meeting the beautiful faces behind some of my favorite blogs. I'm definitely looking forward to my next blogger event!
