No Internet, No Problem

Happy Hump Day! Today I'm blogging to you from work (shhh! don't tell my boss!). Our Internet at home, as well as our cable, has been out since Monday and it won't be fixed until Thursday (maybe). I have been going crazy!!! It's total #firstworldproblems but I honestly catch myself staring at the blank screen of our TV or my computer and sighing like I don't have a life anymore. Isn't it crazy how dependent we are on technology?

So to keep myself sane I've come up with a few things to do that don't involve Internet or cable:

1. Watch those old dusty DVDs you abandoned back when you discovered Netflix and Hulu. My favorites we own are Home Alone and The Sandlot. Is it cheezy that whenever Home Alone is on TV I have to watch it? I could watch that movie all day every day. Something about little Macaulay Culkin hoodwinking a couple of idiot burglars during the holidays gets me every time. And of course, The Sandlot is a classic. Did anyone else have a crush on Benny when they were younger? I sure did.

2. Try out that recipe you always wanted to try but never got around to doing. So far I've made some delicious pasta salsiccia, snickerdoodles, and green smoothies. Call me Chef Ariel.

3. EXERCISE! Go for a run or to the gym. You don't have the excuse that your favorite TV show is on during prime workout time anymore.

Besides trying to keep myself distracted, I've been preparing for school. I can't believe in less than 2 weeks I'll be starting my last year at BYU. Time really does fly! Seems like it was just yesterday I was running around the dorms at 3am, not having a care in the world. Now I'm married, working, and getting tired at 10pm.
Sorry Avril. Guess I can't toast to never growing up.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great Hump Day.
Let me know if you have a list of things you do when technology fails you!

Stay Classy.
  1. Your adorable!! I love this outfit. That sucks about your internet and cable. I had that happen to me and I did the same thing at sitting on the comp or tv and sighing. I just read books that I haven't forgotten.
You should totally post your recipes.

  6. Ahhh. We had no internet installed when we moved in, and it was a forty minute walk to the nearest coffee shop. Let me tell you, you get creative fast. Or bored.
