Keeping Cozy w/ UGG Australia

Wednesday, November 11, 2015

Shirt: c/o BB Styled Boutique
Leggings: Madewell
Chambray Shirt: Madison & Sixth
Boots: c/o UGG Australia
Necklace: c/o Made by Maru

In a perfect world I can wear my boots with no socks. Hello perfect world.

These boots from UGG Australia's new line are to die for. They are the comfiest things I've ever worn on my feet and I can say that because I don't have to wear socks when I wear them. Ahhhhh. Something as little as that can make all the difference when it comes to footwear. When the weather begins getting cold the first body part to start freezing up is always my feet. Believe it or not, when I was taking these outfit photos it was freeeezing outside (yes, this outfit desperately needed a jacket) but my feet were staying nice and toasty!

With these boots, I'll be staying comfy and cozy all fall season and of course, winter season! Seriously guys, these are life changing. Make sure you check out UGG Australia and snag yourself a pair of these boots HERE! You won't regret it!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Cheers.

Oh haiiii there.

I'm getting my 22-year-old Taylor Swift on in today's outfit if you hadn't noticed by now! Every time I put these red sunnies on I can't help but get an urge to dress up like a hipster and make fun of my exes... ;) (uh-uh, uh-uh)

No but really this outfit is so fun and comfy to wear! You really can't go wrong with a white tee and some denim shorts--it's classic beyond classic. I love the pop of color the sunglasses give to the look--I want to go out and buy these babies in every color they come in! Also, I've been taking this fringe purse everywhere I go recently. It's so cute and surprisingly very roomy for how small it looks! Let's just say it's big enough to smuggle some sodas and candy into the movie theater without it looking suspicious. Whoops.
Don't judge.
You know you do it too.

Speaking of movies, it must be a summer thing because Connor and I have seen a lot of them recently! The latest movie we saw in theaters was Jurassic World and it was ahhhhmaaaaazing. I'm kind of obsessed with the Jurassic Park series, like my family owns all the VHS tapes (I FEEL SO OLD SAYING THAT). I even remember my parents going to watch the third one in the theaters but I couldn't go with because I was too young (apparently 10-year-olds are too young to hang with dinosaurs, thanks mom and dad). Anyway, the latest installment definitely lived up to the hype in my opinion, so bravo.

But the real award goes the Bryce Dallas Howard, because any woman who sprints (and I mean SPRINTS) around in heels that much for a film deserves a friggin' trophy, man. For most of the movie I kept thinking to myself, "TAKE OFF THE HEELS, WOMAN!" but she always got away in time from the dinosaurs so it must have worked for her. Also, I almost died laughing when I saw this video of Chris Pratt showing how hard it is to run in heels:

Oh Chris. You're my hero.

Hope your Tuesday is looking cheerful!
Cheers.

Beach Withdrawals

Purse: c/o Aro & Company [similar]
Sunglasses: c/o zeroUV [similar]
Necklace: J. Crew

Shoes: Urban Outfitters

Anyone who has been to or lived in Hawaii knows the pain of going through withdrawals after your trip. Every time I come back from visiting home I instantly miss the beach, the food, and the simple way of living there. I mean let's face it, Utah and Hawaii are pretty much polar opposites. Humidity vs. Dryness. Sea vs. Mountains. Beach vs. Desert. Fresh fruit vs. Fast food. Don't get me wrong, over the years I've come to really love Utah (something I never thought I'd do), but everyone knows there is something about home that holds a special place in your heart.

Anyway, because I'm going through withdrawals, what better way to cope than to wear a t-shirt with all my favorite things about the beach! This Lauren James shirt is so comfy and cute, and it allows me to wear a piece of home everywhere I go. Wearing it makes me even more excited for all the fun summer activities coming our way! Yay!

I hope everyone has a great week!
If you're struggling just imagine yourself on a beach, soaking up the sun and sipping on a bevvy.

ps. HAPPY STAR WARS DAY!
May the Fourth be with you.

Cheers.

I'm living with 16 cats... + GIVEAWAY!

SHMILLLLE SAMSON!!! :)
Top: old [similar]
Chambray: c/o Aro & Company
Pants: c/o Aro & Company
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Necklace: Fifth & Mae [similar]
Sunglasses: c/o zeroUV [similar]
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington
Purse: c/o Aro & Company

 Hello, Hello.

I'm writing from my parents' home in Hawaii where they are currently fostering sixteen, yes SIXTEEN, cats. Only seven of them are indoor kitties (thank goodness) and the rest are sort of strays that hang around outside because word on the street is that our house is the local soup kitchen. Have I ever mentioned I'm kind of allergic to cats? I mostly just sneeze a lot so I've been literally downing allergy meds every four hours just so I don't go through five boxes of Kleenex every day.

Our dog, Flounder, tolerates the cats, as long as they know he's still the boss of the house. The moment they get too close to him or tries to take his treat, he lets out a little growl and they all go sprinting. It's kind of nice though because there is always an animal to cuddle or play with so it's helping with my Samson withdrawals. The fact that the animal to human ratio here is 17:3 is pretty hilarious--who needs Aoshima when you've got the Ray Residence? There is definitely never a dull moment here. Especially during dinnertime. Dinnertime is cray. It turns into a sharks and chum situation.

But seriously, if any of you reside on the Big Island and are in need of a cat(s), please take your pick.
My parents are desperately trying to find these guys a forever home!
Anyway, enough about the cats.

Cheers.

That one vest + White Plum GIVEAWAY

Vest: c/o White Plum
Scarf: c/o StyleGirl
Leggings: Madewell
Boots: Urban Outfitters
Beanie: Tai Pan Trading [similar]
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington

I've seen this adorable quilted vest on several bloggers and friends and always thought it was insanely cute! So when White Plum approached me to style one of their items on my blog, I couldn't help but snag a version of the vest for myself from their shop! White Plum is a women's fashion and lifestyle brand based in Northern California. They offer vintage-inspired clothing with a modern touch for women of all ages. In a little over a year, they have grown from being a home-based business to a full fashion and lifestyle brand with multiple offices, a warehouse, and over 50 employees! I adore their wide range of clothes and accessories--right now I'm obsessed over their cozy sweaters!!

This is officially my last blog post of the 2014 year :)
I'm taking tomorrow to celebrate the year's end but I'll be popping back in to say hey to the new year on the 1st! 2014 has been an amazing year but I can't wait for what 2015 has to offer!

Cheers.

Throwback Thursday: slouchy beanies

Thursday, November 13, 2014

Top: c/o Le Tote
Jeans: c/o Impressions Boutique
Boots: c/o LuLu*s
Beanie: H&M [similar]
Purse: c/o LuLu*s [similar]
Necklace: c/o Style Lately [similar]
Watch: Urban Outfitters

The thing about going through a makeover like changing the color of your hair, is the continuity in pictures. It confuses people when one moment you have red hair and next you have your ombre back. Unfortunately for me, I have a handful of outfits I never got around to posting while I still had my old hair. I figure I would post them on the blog every Thursday, starting a little Throwback Thursday series. That way I can post ombre-Ariel pictures without confusing you all. Yay! :)

I found this mustard beanie in H&M in believe it or not, the men's section! I tend to like the slouchy fit of men's beanies better--I actually like the fit of a lot of men's clothing better. I should really start wearing more clothes that are actually made for women... but then again, I like being comfy so baggy sweaters and slouchy beanies it is!

Have a lovely Thursday, friends!

Cheers.
