Spring, you weirdo.

I don't know about you non-Utahns but the weather here lately has been completely INSANE. And I'm not trying to be all cliche and boring and small talk about the weather because I have nothing else to say, because really, the weather here has been straight up crazytown. I'm talking overcast depressed clouds to clear blue skies to sudden hurricane to hail attack. And that was all in one day. I really don't get you Spring. I really don't. You're as indecisive as I am when I'm getting froyo. I can't never choose just one flavor so I end up getting five different ones and when they all inevitably mix together the results aren't pretty. Don't be Ariel in a froyo store. Just don't.

Because of this bipolar weather, I decided to share a cozier Spring outfit with you today! You can never go wrong with beanies and scarves when trying to stay a little warm throughout the day. I've also just been in an overalls mood lately so I had to pull these babies out from my closet! If there is one thing that living in Utah has taught me, it's that you should never completely pack away your winter clothes because you never know when there'll be a freak storm in the middle of May.

Also, if you're digging my Daniel Wellington watch and want one for yourself, make sure you use the code ARIELHN for 15% off all products until May 31, 2015! Also, with every watch purchased, you can choose a free NATO wristband! Check out their amazing collection here.

Have you guys seen Pitch Perfect 2 yet?
It was acca-perfect if I do say so myself.

Cheers.

Party Animals

Cardigan: c/o StyleGirl
Leggings: Madewell
Beanie: c/o RoundSquare
Necklaces: c/o Made By Maru
Boots: Steve Madden c/o ShoeBuy

hey hi hello

Hope you folks had a great Presidents Day!
Connor and I spent ours grocery shopping and binging on old seasons of Survivor.
We are party animals, I KNOW.

Today's outfit features a pretty tribal print cardigan from StyleGirl (I also have this cardigan in pink/cream and I'll be sharing that with you later this week). I love the pops of color in it and it's downright comfy and cozy. Also, in honor of this Spring-ish weather, I'm wearing this fun bright blue beanie from a sweet company called RoundSquare! I've talked about them before on my blog here and also styled their snapback cap. I don't know about you guys but I'm already stocking up my wardrobe with bold colors and prints for the Spring! I wore sandals the other day to the park and it felt oh so goooood.

Here's the gist of what our Valentine's Day looked like:
Flowers, parks, and delicious homemade meals.
It was simply perfect!

Hope yours was too!

Cheers.

Tomboy at heart

Friday, January 23, 2015

Hat: c/o RoundSquare
Hoodie: c/o Oasap
Denim: Forever 21
Leggings: Madewell
Shoes: Forever 21

I feel like I've always been a tomboy at heart.
I grew up climbing trees, racing my bike around the block, and playing football with the neighborhood kids (I was a bomb receiver). I didn't really know about makeup or hair until I was in high school and my idea of dressing up was wearing a pair of jeans that didn't have any tears or scuffs on them (and trust me, they were not the intentional fashiony kind of destruction).

Honestly, if you had told 13-year-old Ariel that she'd become a fashion blogger one day, I would've laughed in your face...and then ran away dribbling a basketball or something.

Because of my childhood roots, I feel like I sometimes gravitate towards "tomboy-chic" outfits. Don't get me wrong, I still love dressing up in a cute top and fitted jeans, but there is something nostalgic about wearing an oversized hoodie and a snapback that takes me back simpler times.

Today I have RoundSquare to thank for my nostalgic outfit! They're a new and upcoming company that offers super chill merchandise, like beanies and caps. One of their mottos is "What's your angle?" because they believe that embracing our differences is what makes us each uniquely special. We all see the world in our own "angles" and they want you to express that! They don't currently have a website yet, but it's in the works and in the meantime, you can follow them along on Instagram at roundsquareco!

Any fun plans for the weekend?
I'm sensing some Netflix and fast food in my near future.
And I'm usually always right.

Cheers.
