Here it is!

The debut of my new short locks!
What do you guys think?

It's weird, I thought that the moment I chopped them off I would start bawling or completely regret it. But once it was cut, I felt.....relieved.

The last time I cut my hair this short was my sophomore year of high school. It wasn't the most flattering cut because the hairdresser kind of butchered the layers and gave me some horrid highlights, so I vowed to grow out my hair since. The past 7 years I've only trimmed it an inch or two whenever I'd go into the salon. Until now.

With graduation approaching and the end of a 5-year chapter of my life coming up, what better time than now to try out a new look? I've been craving a change for a while now, and a haircut was the craziest thing I could come up with (I passed on a painful tattoo and already went through a piercing phase in high school). I've had a lot of ups and downs these past few years but I've become a stronger person since. I know this sounds silly, but I felt like my long hair was a symbol of my past. Once I cut it off, I had a fresh start. A new beginning.

And so far, I've had no regrets.

Oh, and shoutout to Aeropostale for having amazing apparel that's perfect for this upcoming spring and summer season! I'll be wearing this floral top and denim vest a lot, especially during them warm days when the sun comes out to play (which is hopefully a lot!). Head over there to check out their latest collections and sales! You won't be disappointed.

Cheers.

Pants: H&M
Watch: c/o Arvo
Ring: c/o Pure Impressions

Mindy Mae's Market has such a great selection of apparel--my personal favorite being their "Sorry I'm Late" T-Shirt which I am wearing in today's blog post! This T-Shirt is verrrrrry ME, because well, I have a habit of always being late to things. I can't help it--it's seriously a curse. This outfit is dedicated to people like me, who are always running late (no matter how early you set your alarm clock!). It's casual, comfy, and ultimately effortless! It's perfect for school, hanging out with friends, or just running errands. Also, you don't have to apologize whenever you show up late for something because your T-Shirt says it all already! It also comes in sweater form for those chilly nights when you're running late. ;)

Okay guys, I have a little sneak peek of something I did yesterday.....

AHHHHHHH!!!!!

Check out my Instagram to see a little more revealing sneak peek of the results.
aaaaaaand.....you'll have to wait until MONDAY to see an outfit post debuting my new hurrrrrrr.

I regret nothing.

Cheer.

1 Floral Kimono, 3 Looks

Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Here is a closer look at the guest post I did a couple days ago over at Remington Ready! I was so honored to be featured on their blog--they have such a great collection of posts and contributors!

If there is one trend that I am obsessed with this spring, it's FLORAL KIMONOS! They're cute, comfy, and brighten up any outfit you wear it with! Here are three different ways you can style a floral kimono this season. If you don't own a floral kimono yet, check out these ones from PacSun and Forever 21! They're affordable and they've got a great variety of them--I want to buy them all!

[ Look #1: Boho ]

Floral fits in perfectly with the style of "boho-chic." I love the way the solid color of the maxi skirt compliments the floral pattern of the kimono. Many boho pieces are very flowy and loose and this kimono fits that description to a T! Also, you can never go wrong with a floral headdress when it comes to boho fashion!

Floral Crown: Francesca's
Skirt: H&M

[ Look #2: Casual ]

Adding a plain white tee and distressed jeans to a floral kimono definitely dresses the look down. I'm all about being comfortable when it comes to fashion and this outfit screams comfort! This outfit is perfect for going to school, hanging with friends, or simply running errands! It's effortless, but the kimono still gives the look a little pizazz.

Sunglasses: PacSun
Necklace: c/o Wild Butterfly Boutique
Watch: c/o Arvo

[ Look #3: Dressy ]

You can never go wrong layering chiffon with chiffon! I'm obsessed with the way the floral kimono pops on this fancy white dress. The kimono already has a great sophisticated look, so making it look "dressy" isn't very hard! Adding a cute pair of heels and a statement necklace makes this outfit perfect for a date night or going to church--or any dressy occasion, really!

Necklace: c/o LuLu*s

I love how versatile floral kimonos are! They are definitely an essential when it comes to your spring wardrobe. Snag them while you can! :)

Cheers.

Jacket, Pants, Sneakers, Necklaces -- Forever 21 c/o Coupons.com

Spring, you have been amazing so far.
The weather has been nice and warm with a little breeze in the air.
Perfect to a T.

With the new season making its debut, I definitely would say that there are new trends to look out for! One of my personal favorites are harem pants. I mentioned in an earlier post that they are not my husband's favorite, but I adore them soooo, sorry Connor! :) I just love how comfortable they are! It's like a classier version of sweatpants--the best of both worlds! Another trend I've been looking forward to is lots and lots of denim. Denim vests, denim shorts, denim jackets, denim.....necklaces? (nahhhhhh) I love this denim jacket I'm wearing in today's post because it's not too heavy but it keeps me warm enough if there is a chill in the air.

Forever 21 has a ton of fun pieces that are perfect for this spring! Check out these amazing Forever 21 coupon codes that will help you score these fashionable trends, making you look fabulous this season.

Happy Monday! Today, I'm guest posting on Remington Ready's blog--woohoo! Check out my post HERE. I'll be posting the same outfit to my blog sometime this week, so check back later for more details on that! xx

Kimono: c/o Missguided
Booties: c/o Missguided
Necklace: c/o Jane
Ring: c/o Pure Impressions
Bracelet: c/o Pure Impressions
Floral Crown: Francesca's

Two trends that I am obsessed with this spring:
Floral Crowns and Kimonos.
Meaning,
you will be seeing A LOT of outfits with florals crowns and A LOT of outfits with kimonos.
I just wanted to give you folks a heads up before all the madness begins :)
#sorrynotsorry

This kimono combines two of my fashion favorites: floral and lace. I love how it's not your typical floral kimono--it has a little edge to it with the black lace! Also, these suede ankle boots are ridiculously comfortable. As you guys know I got knee surgery a few weeks ago and I have absolutely no problem walking in these heeled babies! I got both of these items from this awesome store called Missguided! Missguided is a fresh and vibrant online shop that stays up to date on the latest trends so they'll always have what you're looking for! They currently have a ton of cute spring stuff (especially their dresses) so head on over there and check it out! Best part? They offer free shipping in US and Canada! Woohoo!

Oh, and how awesome are these pieces of jewelry from Pure Impressions? The numbers on my bracelet are the coordinates of my hometown! :) Laura, the owner, is the queen of personalized jewelry.

Anyway,
It's Monday again.

the good news:
How I Met Your Mother is tonight.

the bad news:
The second to the last episode ever of How I Met Your Mother is tonight.

I'm going to be a mess next Monday.

Here's to a good week.

Cheers.
