Anyway, let's talk about this dress. I love love love chambray-everything this season because there is something about denim/chambray that screaaaams fall. Do we all agree? So when I saw this chambray dress on Mindy Mae's Market I knew I had to have it in my wardrobe ASAP! I've already raved on about this dress in my Fall Clothing Haul video, but seriously it is the perfect piece for any and all occasions. It's casual enough to go shopping at the mall in and fancy enough to wear to a wedding reception. I also love how long it is because I'm all about dresses that cover my knee caps in the fall/winter so it keeps them warm. It's overall so flattering and a great fit for all body types! You need it, now.

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite shirts from Mindy Mae's Market! If you're friends with me in real life, you know for a fact that I am ALWAYS late to everything and anything (although in my world, everyone else is simply always early). This shirt is basically the story of my life--in fact, I love it so much, I also have it in white (view that post here)! It's a bonus that it's also super comfy and goes with everything. Today I wore it with an outfit meant for a late night summer bonfire! Next time you're running behind schedule, throw this sweet tee on and when you get to your destination, your shirt will do the talking for ya. ;)

I've been spending the past week up in Seattle visiting Connor's family and it has been amaaaaazing. Seattle/Issaquah has become one of my favorite places and it's been on my "let's move here one day" list for a while now.

The summers here are particularly lovely because it's SO. INSANELY. PRETTY. The green trees + gorgeous lakes + summer sun = paradise. Yes, this is coming from a girl who was raised in Hawaii. You'll probably shake your head when you read this but I actually prefer lakes over the ocean (only when it comes to swimming--I am still obsessed with that ocean air). I think it's the fact that it's fresh water rather than salt water so I don't feel dirty and sticky whenever I come out from swimming. Connor's fam has a boat we take out whenever we visit and it's probably my favorite summer activity to do while up here.

The little lake above is a 5 minute walk from Connor's house.
Yes. I'm jealous too.

Funny story:

When I was taking pictures of this outfit, I kept hearing this loud noise nearby. It sounded like a high-pitch cackle and it wouldn't stop--it just kept going and going and going. Finally I looked around and spotted the source of the noise: a weird looking bird with black stripes and long legs (any bird experts out there?). I kid you not guys, it was standing there staring at me and LAUGHING. This little dang bird was mocking me!!! It wouldn't go away so I chased it and rather than flying away like a normal bird, it RAN AWAY. Like, what? It's as if it was mocking me by showing me he didn't need to cheat and use his wings to get away from me... Mean little bird...

Does anyone remember the days when that show used to actually be cute and funny and not....creepy?

I watched a recent episode and it's just not as good as it used to be. Spongebob Squarepants definitely had its prime episodes in its earlier years.

Seriously, being a 90s/00s kid was the best.

Growing up watching Rugrats, All That, Dexter's Laboratory, Pokemon, Hey Arnold!, Recess, I could go on and on! Whatever happened to quality TV shows like those? Nowadays I can't even stand watching two minutes of anything playing on Cartoon Network...

Anyway, sorry about my little nostalgia rant. The pineapple on this cute Style Lately tank just reminded me of little Spongebob and that got me going on reminiscing on the good ole days. When the only decisions we stressed out about was which cartoon we were going to watch on Saturday morning.

Those were the days.

Also, is it just me or are pineapples totally in this summer?

Seriously, they're EVERYWHERE.

This Saturday marks the first official day of the summer season!

It also happens to be the longest day of the year as well as my Dad's birthday. Two happy coincidences. :)

I'm celebrating the end of spring and beginning of summer by sharing with you a beach-ready outfit featuring an adorable swimsuit from Beverly Swimwear! I'm wearing the Sassy Stripes suit in Pink/White and I loooove it! The best part about Beverly Swimwear's swimsuits besides the fact that they're insanely cute is that they are custom made to fit you! I'm so tired of buying swimsuits that are either too tight on the bottoms or too loose on top (the woes of being flat chested), and Beverly Swimwear is the answer to my problems.

Beverly, the mastermind behind the company, makes the suits herself and she makes them according to your body type and measurements! She is also extremely sweet and so easy to work with--when I first ordered my suit, the chest area was a little loose but I just mailed it back to her and she had it fixed and sent back within a week! I love companies and people who really care about customer service and satisfaction so I would highly recommend getting yourself a suit from Beverly Swimwear.

Besides the Sassy Stripes suit, my favorites are the Rainbow Straps, Basic Bombshell, and Chic Cap. For each style there are also multiple fabrics and patterns you can choose from, making your swimsuit that much more custom.

ps. In case you were wondering, those little doodles on my skin are henna tattoos, drawn on by yours truly (the feather was done by Jess cus I'm not a lefty). We had a girls night last week and went a little crazy with some DIY tattoos. They're so much fun!

Currently I'm watching Crazy, Stupid, Love. and I can't get over how adorable Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling's chemistry is.

Also, I'm pretty sure Kevin Bacon is stalking me because I've seen 3 movies on TV in the past 2 days with him in them, unintentionally. What a creeper.

There's nothing like a laid-back, feel-good, comfy-cozy outfit for the summer (and weekend)! This is my take on that genre of fashion because I'm such a sucker for clothes that not only look good, but feel good. :) I absolutely love these harem pants because they always fit perfectly, so matter how bloated I'm feeling that day. Also, these sandals from Mindy Mae's Market are probably my new favorite footwear! They not only look cute, but don't leave any nasty blisters on my feet after a long day of wear and tear. They're perfect for summer and I can't wait to wear them on all the adventures awaiting this season!
