Rustic Elegance

Thursday, December 10, 2015

Dress: c/o Shabby Apple
Hat: c/o LuLu*s [exact]
Necklace: Sage Boutique [similar]
Boots: c/o LuLu*s [similar]

So I know this outfit is SUPER Fall-esque but hey, we're rolling with it. I mean, Winter doesn't officially begin until December 22nd so technically, it's STILL FALL. Boom, Lawyered.

I've rambled on and on before on my blog about how I'm super obsessed with denim and chambray this season--and today will be no different. I looooove this chambray dress from Shabby Apple--it's so rustic and elegant at the same time! Is that even allowed? I'm usually not the biggest fan of floor-length dresses and skirts but for some reason I'm digging this one! I am however, considering altering the length a bit when it warms up so I can wear it during the spring and summer seasons too! :)

Shabby Apple is your one stop shop for all your christmas fashion needs this season! They seriously carry the cutest modest dresses around and their holiday dresses right now are to die for! They're perfect to wear to fancy christmas parties and for family photos! You'll definitely want to check it out.

ALSO, right now Shabby Apple is having a Sitewide Sale of 25-75% off EVERYTHING when you use the code: MERRY

So get your booty over there right now and shop, shop, SHOP before it's too late!

Hope you all have a fabulous Thursday!

Cheers.

Mondayz. Ya feel?
Why do the weekends go by so fast? In fact, how are the days in general going by so fast?? I swear Fall was only beginning like yesterday and now there's already snow on the mountains! It even snowed in Provo the other day (didn't stick)!

I have such mixed emotions about snow/winter. And I apologize if I've already talked about this on my blog before because I feel like a broken record over here. There is just something so magical about snowfall, especially the first snowfall of the season! I can't help but quote one of the most classic movies ever, Snow Day: "Anything can happen on a snow day..." hahahaha. It's just the days that come after snow that make me feel bleah. No more fresh fallen snow--just dirty piles of ice shoved onto the side of streets and sidewalks. Icy, dangerous roads, the frigid cold air, etc. etc. So basically, winter is like a houseguest that overstays their welcome. Really fun and exciting to have around at first, but ready to slap in the face and kick out a few weeks later. YA FEEEEEL?

Anyyyyyway, tomorrow I'm flying to Washington with Samson so until then I'm trying to check off everything on my super long, super stressful To-Do list. Trips/vacations are so much fun once you're on them but the days leading up to them can be soooo draining. The prep of making sure everything is taken care of while you're away make my head crazy sometimes. I'll be vlogging the whole trip though so I have that to look forward to and of course, the trip itself! Yay!

Speaking of vlogs.....
If you haven't yet, check out my latest vlog on my YouTube channel!

In this vlog I'm sharing our road trip to Arizona where I attend a Regional Emmy award show, meet David Koechner (aka Todd Packer from The Office), and make friends with a cactus. Also, Connor dresses up like a cowboy. It's all good stuff so watch along and I hope you enjoy!

I post videos every Wednesday (and sometimes Mondays and Fridays) so make sure you SUBSCRIBE to stay updated!

Outfit on repeat... + MY FIRST VLOG!

Friday, October 16, 2015

Dress: c/o Billabong
Chambray Shirt: Madison & Sixth
Sandals: Entourage [similar]
Hat: c/o LuLu*s
Necklace: Sage Boutique [similar]
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington

Just like a song, when an outfit is good, you put it on repeat.
I wore an outfit very similar to this one last month on my blog and you better believe I've worn different variations of it multiples times without feeling shame. I mean c'mon, you really can't go wrong with a striped dress + bold fedora combo! This body-hugging midi dress from Billabong is so versatile--it's conservative enough for work during the day and sexy enough to wear out on the town! I'm stocking up on striped dresses (and other striped clothing) this fall and I'm not sorry about it.

ps. If you're digging my watch, get your own from Daniel Wellington for 15% off using the code: DWauteurariel

Yesterday I posted my first VLOG everrrrr on my YouTube channel!
Two videos in two days. I know. It’s crayyy. I hope you guys are as excited as I am about it! WOOHOO!

In this vlog, follow me, Connor, and my mom as we explore the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City, Utah! I’m been LOVING having my mom here visiting us—it gives us perfect excuses to go do more exciting stuff like this, haha. Also, if you live in Utah and are looking for some fun things to do, check out the Hogle Zoo! Our favorites were the wolves, cheetah, and bat-eared fox (cus it reminded us of Samson). Say hey to the T-Rex for us.

I post videos every week so make sure you SUBSCRIBE to stay updated!

If you haven't yet, be sure to watch my latest DIY Halloween Decorations video HERE!

Also, fun little announcement: Tomorrow we are taking a quick road trip to Arizona for the weekend to attend an award show! I don't want to say much about it quite yet, but I'm for sure vlogging the entire trip so you'll get every little detail about it early next week! I'm planning on posting the vlog on Monday so keep a lookout for it!

I'm so stoked!

Have a great weekend, friends!

Cheers.

Florals? For Spring?

Thursday, April 9, 2015

Top: c/o Pink Blush
Jeans: c/o Impressions Boutique
Heels: c/o Pink Blush
Clutch: c/o LuLu*s
Earrings: c/o Pink Blush
Long Necklace: c/o Sage by Olivia Wares
Short Necklace: c/o Made By Maru

.....Groundbreaking.

Although it's officially Spring, the weather here has been SO bipolar lately! One day I'm keeping all the windows in the house open so I don't get heatstroke, and the next I'm huddled up my blanket trying to keep my toes from freezing off. I mean at one point this week it SNOWED. I'm so confused. I so desperately want to start wearing Spring apparel but for some reason stepping outside in shorts and sandals doesn't seem like a logical idea. So I guess I'll just settle for the middle and wear sweaters with floral print on them for now.

Speaking of floral sweaters, the one I'm wearing today is from the one and only Pink Blush! Right now they have an AMAZING spring collection in their store so if you're in a location where warm weather is an ongoing thing, I suggest you shop away! And even if you're still freezing your toes at the moment like I am, I would still shop away for those warmer days to come. ;)

Stock up on those florals!
Miranda would be so impressed.

Have an amazing Thursday, friends!

Cheers.

Also, another congrats because you made it to my SWELL GIVEAWAY!
For the past couple days I've posted outfits you could wear to different types of holiday parties--to see my Family Party Look go here and Social Party Look go here. Today I'm wrapping things up with a Fancy Party Look! This is the outfit to wear to a dressier party where the beverages are served in actual glasses (and not plastic cups). Whether it's a Christmas wedding or a shmancy work party, this dress from SWELL will for sure draw compliments from the people you're trying to impress. Also, I'm wearing this super cute cardigan from Chic Style because it was a bit chilly outside when I took these, but I think the dress looks great with or without a cover-up! It all depends on what specific style you're going for or what the temperature is like at the moment. ;)

Okay, now on to the good stuff!
Today for this giveaway...

One lucky person will win a $100 gift card to SWELL!

I will be quite jealous of the person who wins this giveaway (I'm always jealous of my winners) because SWELL seriously has the best collection of clothes, ever. I've been working with them for a while now and their new arrivals never cease to amaze me. I want to buy everything...but as I mentioned before, my bank account has an official restraining order on me at the moment (whoops).

Enter the giveaway using the Rafflecopter below!
Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor.
open to US residents only

Here's a little peek at the different looks I've done:

Pom Life + GIVEAWAY!

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

Top: c/o Shabby Apple
Leggings: Madewell
Beanie: Tai Pan Trading [similar -- only $8.90!!!]
Necklace: c/o Sage by Olivia Wares [similar]
Boots: c/o Pink Basis

My recent obsession?
Pom beanies.

I maybe possibly might have them in 5 different colors already and I'm not ashamed of it. Cus when you find something you love, why not get it in every color possible, right? This black one I'm wearing today is from Tai Pan Trading and the pom part of the beanie is out of control adorable. Yep, I'm obsessed.

I kind of took a risk with this outfit and mixed browns with blacks. I ended up loving the results though because I got to pair some of my new favorite pieces together! This top from Shabby Apple is so light and comfy--it wears like a dream! My favorite thing about it though would have to be the cool green zipper in the back--it's like a little bonus pop of color! The other brown addition to this outfit are these boots from Pink Basis. They're a bit more cushiony (is that a word?) than your usual combat boots so you can wear these around all day without feeling any pain! These boots also have a cool floral lining in them which I wish I got a picture of, but they make them that much cooler.

Holiday Greenhouse

Monday, November 24, 2014

Sweater: c/o Chic Style
Crown: c/o Miss Stevi Marie
Top: KISSmeMINT [similar--they're only $5.80!!]
Jeans: c/o Impressions Boutique
Boots: c/o LuLu*s
Short Necklace: c/o Song Yee Designs
Long Necklace: Sage by Olivia Wares

Last weekend I had the amazing opportunity to take part in a Holiday Greenhouse photoshoot! It involved the perfect group of bloggers, the perfect vendors, and the PERFECT location!!! I mean, look at all those beautiful poinsettias! Everything was seriously breathtaking.

My hair was done by my girl Kaity, and the amazing Denise did my makeup! Every single gorgeous crown was handmade by the one and only Stevi Marie. I've worked with Stevi before when I wore her crown on my blog here, but this was the first time I met her in person and she is now one of my favorite people ever. Each sweater was provided by the generous Chic Style Boutique and I've honestly worn my sweater every day since the shoot. It's the comfiest, coziest thing I own now. And of course, the cute Kali Poulsen was there to capture everything! The best part about the shoot? Being able to hang out and work with all my favorite Utah bloggers! The blogger community is so amazing here in Utah and whenever I get together with these ladies, it's a complete treat!

Big thanks to everyone who made this photoshoot possible!
It's been my favorite one to date!

Cheers.
