Seafoam Summer pt. 2 + Travel Diaries

Remember when I said I was obsessed with seafoam this summer?

Yeah, I wasn't kidding.

On a shopping trip a few days ago I bought yet ANOTHER seafoam high-low skirt from Forever 21. This one is a bit longer & "flow-ier" than my other seafoam skirt from my last post & I am in LOVE with it!!!

TRAVEL DIARIES:

Today is our last day in Seattle before we jet off to Hawaii!!! I'm sad to leave my in-laws but I'm extremely excited to see my parents (whom I haven't seen in a year)! Here are a few things we've done during our stay here!

We took a family trip to the Woodland Park Zoo! It was my second time there, but it was Connor's 2-year-old niece's first time at a zoo so it was fun watching her be in awe at all the animals. Also, as you can see, I made a new friend!! I named him Flipper.

One of my favorite things to do while visiting the in-laws is to go boating! It was raining the first few days we were here, but on Friday it finally cleared up and it was PERFECT lake weather. (ps. I spy SEAFOAM!)

Another thing I love about Seattle is the fact that my childhood BFF, Diandra lives here now. Whenever Connor & I visit, I always make sure to make time for this beautiful chica. Over the years, no matter where we were living, we always found a way to make our friendship work and keep in touch. I seriously love this girl to death!

So now we are off to Hawaii! Tomorrow we are spending the whole day in and out of airports (the beauty of layovers). But by 9pm Hawaii time, we will touch down in my lovely hometown of Hilo.

Seafoam Summer Outfit + Travel Update

It has been decided.

Seafoam is officially the color of Summer 2013.

In my world at least.

I don't know what it is about it. Maybe it's because it reminds me of the ocean. Or maybe it's because it gives off a calm and cool vibe. Or maybe it's just a really pretty color that I currently like. (it's probably just the last one).

Despite the reasons, I just find myself looking for seafoam-colored things to buy and wear! And in honor of that color obsession this summer, here is a fun outfit I put together to celebrate. :)

TRAVEL UPDATE:

Like I mentioned earlier, Connor & I are currently traveling! Nothing too extravagant, just visiting our families in Seattle and Hawaii. Currently, we are in Seattle visiting Connor's family and we are having a blast! Connor is one of 5 (yes, FIVE) brothers so it's always a party when everyone is home. His younger brother Phil, just came home from his LDS mission in Brazil so for the first time in 2 years, all the brothers were reunited. It was presh. :) 

We've mostly been hanging out and watching movies and RELAXING. Friday, if the weather is nice, we are planning on taking the boat out to the lake which is one of my most favorite things to do while visiting Seattle! So I am crossing my fingers!

& here is my face while I am posting this lovely blog.

I'll try my best to keep my travel diaries up to date! I've also got some more fun outfit posts on the way.
