Belletto Studio Airbrush System

Scroll to the bottom of this post for a sweet Belletto Studio discount code!

I've always been a skeptic when it comes to airbrush makeup. I saw the ads on TV for them and it never really enticed me. I mean, I already had powder, liquid, creme, etc. foundation to choose from, why add another to the list? It also looked extremely hard to use and I didn't want to go through learning something I already knew how to do another way.

I was given the opportunity to try out the Belletto Studio Airbrush System for the first time and I can definitely say that I was blown away by the results! Airbrush makeup is just a whole 'nother world I was missing out on and it totally makes me rethink trying other makeup products I've always been skeptical of.

This airbrush system gives you a nice, even complexion, along with a lightweight feel! I hate it when foundations feel heavy on my face--I don't like looking and feeling like I have layers and layers of makeup on. It's also very versatile--not only can you put foundation on with it, but it also lets you put on bronzer, blush, highlighter, and even eyeshadow!

This is kind of weird, but my favorite part about the Belletto System Airbrush System is how cool and refreshing (yes, refreshing) it feels when you're putting it on. It's basically like misting your face with one of those spray fans! It actually makes the process of putting on foundation fun! The makeup itself is also hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and oil, paraben, alcohol, silicone, and fragrance-free, so your skin can continue to be safe and healthy!

From my first impression, I've learned that this is something you definitely have to practice to get really good at (I may have over-bronzed and over-blushed on my right side the first time, haha), but it's not hard to master. Once you get the hang of how the brush works and how to apply it, you can speedily apply your makeup every day like a pro!

I'm excited to keep using this airbrush system and getting better at it! It's perfect for the summer season because it's long-lasting and won't melt off your face like some foundations! I would highly recommend adding this baby to your makeup collection--even if you are skeptical about airbrush makeup! Take it from someone who used to be skeptical ;) I love it!

The Ultimate Airbrush System is usually $150 but if you use this code:

you can get it for only $78!!!
That's basically 50% off the price! A MAJOR steal!

Tomorrow, I'll be posting a "First Impression" video of this Belletto Studio Airbrush System on my YouTube channel so be sure to check that out!!

Hope you have a great Tuesday!

Cheers.

Thanks to Belletto Studio for sponsoring today's post!
All opinions and my love for this airbrush system are my own.

Leggings: c/o Pink Blush
Hat: Cotton On [similar]
Shoes: c/o LuLu*s [similar]
Giraffe Necklace: J. Crew [similar]
Disc Necklace: c/o Song Yee Designs

A little while ago I took these outfit pictures and totally spaced on posting them! Whoops! So here's kind of a throwback for ya back when the trees around town were still looking Springy. This adorable giraffe tunic is just about the comfiest thing everrrr. Although I probably wouldn't wear it right now in this blazing hot heat, as soon as the weather cools down it'll be my favorite go-to piece again! Also, since the tunic itself has giraffes all over, I couldn't help but add ANOTHER giraffe with my necklace. ;) Nothing wrong with a giraffe overload, amiright?

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of co-hosting a baby shower for my bestie, Lauren! My co-host, Gentri (who has officially moved back to Utah people!!! Yayyy!!) and I came up with the theme "Dapper Little Man," where everything was miniature-themed! We had mini top hats, mini cupcakes, mini fruit kabobs, mini milk and cookie shots, and more! We had so much fun planning it and even more fun seeing it come to life. It was great seeing everyone who came and being able to celebrate the upcoming arrival of little Baby H. We love you so much already little guy!

Yay for babies!!!

Have a great week everyone!

Cheers.

Fourth of July Ready w/ Indy Brand + GIVEAWAY

Friday, June 26, 2015

Shirt: c/o Indy Brand
Shorts: Amazon [similar]
Shoes: Converse via Shopbop
Backpack: Fjallraven via Shopbop
Watch: c/o Daniel Wellington
Sunglasses: c/o zeroUV [similar]
Necklace: c/o Song Yee Designs
Earrings: c/o LuLu*s

Yes guys, I know.
Fourth of July is NEXT weekend.
But there's nothing wrong with prepping a little early for it, right? ;)

Especially when this weekend is the last time you can order your America-themed tops from Indy Brand to get them in time for Fourth of July!! If you haven't found anything to wear yet for Independence Day, I highly recommend taking a look through their Local Native Collection. You can choose from the Land of Freedom tee I'm wearing in today's post (which also comes in different colors and tank top form) to this super adorable American Flag tee! But make sure you order by June 29 so you can get your USA on next Friday!

This is the outfit I'll be chilling in by the pool on the Fourth of July. I saw these athletic shorts on Amazon the other day and knew I HAD to get them. Seriously, how cute are they? I'm definitely going to be wearing these all throughout summer--not just on Friday. They're perfect for the pool, hiking, and even working out! My brother-in-law and I are actually having a competition on who can have the better patriotic outfit for the Fourth (hopefully he doesn't see this blog post so my outfit isn't spoiled, haha) and I say I might be giving him a run for his money! He does however, have a matching stars and stripes tank top and swim shorts... so I better step up my game by next week.

Also, I've been seeing these Fjallraven backpacks all over Pinterest lately. It seems like everyone and their dog have them, so naturally I had to get one for myself. Sadly I did not get one for my dog though. Sorry Samson.

Do you guys have any cool plans for the Fourth of July?
The Hamilton family reunion will be that weekend so I'll be BBQ-ing it up with the fambam!
I'm already salivating over all the hot dogs I'll be chowing down on that day. Ahhhhh.

PS. If you haven't yet, be sure to check out my first video tutorial on how to get loose summer curls HERE! :)

Have a great weekend homies!

Cheers.

Loose Summer Curls w/ NuMe + VIDEO

Thursday, June 25, 2015

Scroll to the bottom of this post to watch the video tutorial and for a sweet NuMe discount code!

Hey friends!

Today I've got a fun hair tutorial for you folks! I'm showing you how I get my Loose Summer Curls using the NuMe 32mm wand. The curling wand comes from a 5-in-1 styling set called the NuMe Lustrum that allows you to interchange five different barrel types and sizes to achieve your target hairstyle! I made a VIDEO (yep, a video!) to show you how I get these curls and you can watch that at the bottom of this post, but first let me tell you a little bit about this specific styling set!

The NuMe Lustrum collection of five 100% tourmaline-infused ceramic heat barrels come in 19mm, 25mm, 32mm, Reverse, and Pearl to offer a variety of looks to keep you looking fab every day of the week! The wand powers up to a perfect 410°F in a matter of seconds, and the safe guard lock makes switching barrels quick and easy so that you can change up your style on a whim. The set also comes with a heat-resistant glove so your fingers don't get burnt, and a carrying case so you can store your Lustrum set neatly, as well as take it on the go!

I absolutely love the NuMe Lustrum collection because it's such a great quality curling wand! I noticed that whenever I use it, my hair is just as gorgeous and curly the next day! The fact that I get to have curls that last days without touch ups is such a time-saver! I also love that I definitely won't need to buy another curling wand anytime soon because of how versatile this set is. The NuMe Lustrum will last me years to come, consistently giving me amazing results!

Okay, now on to the tutorial! In the video below I show you how I personally get my Loose Summer Curls and go from the Before look on the left, to the After look on the right (referring to the photo above). This hairstyle is quick and easy, and perfect for the summertime. I had so much fun putting together this tutorial for you folks so I really hope you enjoy it! If you'd like me to continue doing similar tutorials and videos like this, let me know! I'd love to hear some ideas of what to do next! xx

Flamingo x Lime Ricki GIVEAWAY

Wednesday, June 24, 2015

Swimsuit: c/o Lime Ricki
Sunglasses: c/o LuLu*s
Necklace: c/o Fifth & Mae [similar]
Sandals: c/o Aeropostale

What's fun, flattering, and covered in flamingos?
THIS swimsuit from Lime Ricki!

I have a weird body (in my eyes). I've got a flat chest and thick thighs--which makes some clothing hard to wear--ESPECIALLY swimsuits. Having a flat chest is something I've dealt with my entire life, and even though it hasn't bothered me too much, I've definitely had my moments when I wish I were more "endowed." As for my thighs, they're the only "curves" I got from puberty and they've always been pretty muscular from running cross country and track in high school. Because of my body type, I often have trouble finding swimsuits that fit me right. They're either too loose in the chest area, or too tight on my thighs. It's rare that I come across a swimmie that fits my body like a glove.

This flamingo swimsuit from Lime Ricki is definitely one of those rare finds!
I was so surprised by how flattering it made my figure look! The suit is shaped perfectly and snug without being suffocating. There are also so many fun details about it, especially the peplum trim! My favorite part is of course, the flamingos. Because why not flamingos? ;) I totally see myself wearing this swimsuit a ton this summer anytime there is a body of water and sun involved. I would highly highly recommend getting yourself one of these babies before they sell out!!!

What's that?
You're running low on funds and don't have the budget to buy yourself a new swimmie?
Well let me fix that problem for you.

RIGHT NOW, I am holding an Instagram GIVEAWAY for a lucky person to win a swimsuit of their choice from Lime Ricki! Just go to THIS POST and follow the instructions to enter! You don't want to miss out on this opportunity to score the perfect summer suit!

Do it for the flamingos.

Also, TOMORROW I'll be posting a video for a fun hair tutorial! Yes, you read that right. A VIDEO!!! Whaaaaaat? It's about time Ariel. Make sure to tune in for that! :)

Have a great Wednesday!

Cheers.

Pinterest Lately...

Happy Monday!

Hope your weekend was filled with fun and adventure! On Friday we went to watch the new Disney movie, Inside Out and it was so so soooo good. Disney can really do no wrong. Then on Saturday, we spent the day at the Strawberry Days carnival and rodeo in Pleasant Grove! We went last year and had a blast so we knew we had to return again this year! I'm kina sorta addicted to carnival rides--the sketchier, the better. I'm weird like that, haha.

Today I wanted to share with you what I've been pinning lately on Pinterest! The board I've been filling up the most is my Spring + Summer Style board. I've noticed I've really been gravitating towards pins that feature white pieces of clothing. Flowy white dresses, skinny white jeans [find options here], distressed white shorts, and casual white sneakers (oh my!). I can't stop pinning white! :) I've been eyeing this white summer dress and this white beach hat lately... I may have to add them to my closet soon! Whoops! Anyway, take a look at my board below and feel free to follow me on Pinterest HERE!

Happy Pinning! xx

Jawbone UP MOVE x Fitness

Wednesday, June 17, 2015

Thanks to Jawbone UP MOVE for sponsoring today's post!
All opinions and my love for this fitness tracker are my own. #Jawbone #SmartCoach

As most of you know, I work from home. Which means I live a VERY sedentary life. With the exception of my morning jog and taking Samson out a few times a day to do his business, my idea of being physical during the day is getting up from my couch and walking to the fridge. Then walking back. I'm pretty sure Samson is more active than me on a daily basis from all the pitter-pattering he does around the apartment.

I was already aware that I didn't live a very active lifestyle, but it wasn't until I wore the Jawbone UP MOVE that I realized just how lazy and stationary I really was during the day.

I've already spoken about the Jawbone UP MOVE on my blog before (see the post HERE) but I only highlighted the sleep tracking feature. Today I'm going to talk about my initial and overall experience with the activity tracking feature.

From the moment I got out of bed, I clipped my Jawbone UP MOVE onto my clothing. Their built-in accelerometer accurately counts your steps, no matter where you go or how you wear it. Before I went on my morning jog, I switched the tracker over to "Stopwatch" mode so it could focus solely on my running session. It timed exactly how long I ran for, the distance I ran, the steps I took, my pace, and how many calories I burned. I was pretty impressed with all the data it collected, just from the little chip I wore! (Scroll down a little further to see the data from my jogging session--don't judge on how slow my pace is! I'm a slow runner, haha)

I went on the with the rest of my day still wearing the tracker. Around 3pm I checked in on my progress using the UP app on my phone. I was pretty shocked to see that I was only at 40% of my 10,000 steps goal (the NIH recommends you take at least 10,000 steps per day in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle), especially since it was already more than halfway through the day! It was a pretty rude awakening of how inactive my lifestyle was and how much I needed to start changing it! For the rest of the day I would make myself get up every 15 minutes or so and literally power walk around my apartment. I know it sounds super silly (and trust me, I felt pretty silly), but just doing that alone helped me get more steps into my total and forced myself to be more active during the day!

LEFT: The data from my jogging session. I like to take my time running, okay? // RIGHT: My total steps for the day! We went on a long walk with Samson at the end of the day just so I would make the 100% hahaha. Also, the app told me that when I hit 10,263 steps, it was the equivalent of climbing the Eiffel Tower SIX times! So basically I spent my day in Paris, what whaaaat]

You can also set reminders to get up and move around during the day and the UP app has a Smart Coach that offers you tips and tricks every day on how to reach a healthier life.

People who have jobs that require them to move around most of the day don't really have to worry about whether or not they live an active lifestyle. It's those of us who have jobs that require us sitting down most of the day that need to be more aware of our activity. We don't realize how sedentary our lives are without actually seeing it with our own eyes. I would highly recommend the Jawbone UP MOVE to people who want to live a healthy lifestyle--it's great for both those who want to be more active during the day and those who want to maintain an already active lifestyle.

A really fun feature about the Jawbone UP MOVE is that you can can connect with your friends and family who are using the tracker as well! You can form teams to help each other reach your goals and even duel each other to see who can reach their step count goal first! When UP community members have three or more friends on their team, they move at least 10 extra miles a month. That’s a lot of calories burned.

The Jawbone UP MOVE tracker doesn't just count your steps and track your sleep--it gets you over the hump and moving on your path to a better you.
Give it a try!

Cheers.

Oh haiiii there.

I'm getting my 22-year-old Taylor Swift on in today's outfit if you hadn't noticed by now! Every time I put these red sunnies on I can't help but get an urge to dress up like a hipster and make fun of my exes... ;) (uh-uh, uh-uh)

No but really this outfit is so fun and comfy to wear! You really can't go wrong with a white tee and some denim shorts--it's classic beyond classic. I love the pop of color the sunglasses give to the look--I want to go out and buy these babies in every color they come in! Also, I've been taking this fringe purse everywhere I go recently. It's so cute and surprisingly very roomy for how small it looks! Let's just say it's big enough to smuggle some sodas and candy into the movie theater without it looking suspicious. Whoops.
Don't judge.
You know you do it too.

Speaking of movies, it must be a summer thing because Connor and I have seen a lot of them recently! The latest movie we saw in theaters was Jurassic World and it was ahhhhmaaaaazing. I'm kind of obsessed with the Jurassic Park series, like my family owns all the VHS tapes (I FEEL SO OLD SAYING THAT). I even remember my parents going to watch the third one in the theaters but I couldn't go with because I was too young (apparently 10-year-olds are too young to hang with dinosaurs, thanks mom and dad). Anyway, the latest installment definitely lived up to the hype in my opinion, so bravo.

But the real award goes the Bryce Dallas Howard, because any woman who sprints (and I mean SPRINTS) around in heels that much for a film deserves a friggin' trophy, man. For most of the movie I kept thinking to myself, "TAKE OFF THE HEELS, WOMAN!" but she always got away in time from the dinosaurs so it must have worked for her. Also, I almost died laughing when I saw this video of Chris Pratt showing how hard it is to run in heels:

Oh Chris. You're my hero.

Hope your Tuesday is looking cheerful!
Cheers.
