Embrace Your Inner Gypsy

Friday, May 6, 2016

Roundie: c/o Lady Scorpio 101
Top: [similar]
Skirt: Target
Bracelet: c/o Everwear
Earring: [similar]

I interrupt your lovely Friday to share with you this AMAAAAAZING roundie from a cute little company called Lady Scorpio 101. I've been dying for one of these for a while now and this one is just the right print/color/size/everything! Basically, it's perfect. I'll definitely be taking it to the beach and park a lot this summer! Lady Scorpio 101 has all the decor, tapestries, accessories, and jewelry to satisfy your inner gypsy. They seriously have the most impressive collection of tapestries with every design and color you can think of! Besides this cute roundie, I also have this gold gypsy mandala tapestry (that is beautifully humongous and hanging right behind our headboard--you might have seen it in my recent YouTube videos) and this moon phases wall hanging decor (which is ONLY $20 right now FYI). I'll be sharing those on my blog real soon and how I've used them to spruce up our apartment!

It's beginning to feel like summer is creeping in real slowly in Utah! It's weird because it's not super bright and sunny outside during the day, but the temperature is sky-rocketing up. I actually feel hot and sticky right now in our apartment--which means it's almost time to hook up the swamp cooler and run that loud baby on all night. Joy. But if putting up with an obnoxious swamp cooler is what it takes to welcome summer, I'm all for it bebe. SUMMER BRING IT ON!

PS. If you're just as obsessed with Lady Scorpio 101 as I am, here is a 15% off coupon code just for my readers! Use the code ARIELRAYHAMILTON at checkout and you're all ready to enjoy your gypsy gear! Alsooooo, I'll be hosting a GIVEAWAY real soon on my Instagram for some Lady Scorpio 101 products so make sure you FOLLOW my account (@arielrayhamilton) to look out for that! xx

Hope you all have a fabulous Friday my loves.

Cheers.

LuLu*s in Japan: Tokyo DisneySea

Thursday, March 3, 2016

Jacket: c/o LuLu*s
Sweater: c/o LuLu*s
Leggings: Madewell
Boots: c/o Khombu
Backpack: Target
Minnie Ears: DISNEY!

Welcome to the happiest place..... in Japan!
Aaand welcome to the second look in my LuLu*s in Japan series!

The day we went to Tokyo DisneySea was sooooo magical and super...califragilisticexpialidocious. It was extremely cool being able to visit a Disney park in a different country and experience all the different attractions and features! One of my favorite parts was of course, Triton's Castle (aka my home base). It was like a colorful, aquatic version of Sleeping Beauty's Castle! Also, this is random but Tokyo Disney is all about their assorted-flavored popcorn. There are designated parts of the park where you can get certain flavors and apparently it's a thing to try to collect them all throughout the day! We didn't really know about it until the end of the day so we only got to try black pepper, white chocolate, and caramel... I think. The only tiny downer was that it was pretty crowded on the day that we went so we weren't able to go on too many rides. Unfortunately I think it was literally the day before all the kids went back to school so every Japanese student in the country was basically there...

I fell in LOVE with this leather jacket while I was in Japan. Usually most leather jackets I've had or tried on are either super tight and restraining, or too loose and bulky. This one is just right. It kept me cozy throughout the day and even at night! Also, remember when I said that turtlenecks would be a common theme throughout this series? Well I wasn't kidding. I loved pairing this burgundy sweater with my leather jacket because it added a nice touch of color to the whole outfit! Aaand you cannot forget the Minnie Ears whenever you go to any Disney park, no matter what country. (:

A full look at Triton's Castle!

Here is my VLOG from the day we spent at Tokyo DisneySea!

Have a sassy Thursday my friends!

What's in my Purse?

Thursday, February 18, 2016

I've been meaning to do a post like this for a while now so I'm excited I'm finally getting around to actually doing it! I'm always curious about what each person carries around in their purse or bag because I feel like everyone is so different (yet similar) when it comes to our essentials! Today I'm sharing with you my purse/bag essentials that I always carry around with me no matter where I go because you can never be too prepared, right?

1) A cute pair of sunnies. You never know when that sun is gonna peak out from behind the clouds!
2) My phone, duh. No explanation needed.
3) Mints or gum. So important to have on hand especially when you go out to eat! I'm always stocked because I like food with lots of garlic in it. hahahaha.
4) Floss. An underrated lifesaver. I am prone to getting food stuck in my teeth.
5) Travel-size perfume. For a mid-day refresher.
6) My wallet, another duh.
7) Flash drive. This one is a little random and odd, I know. But as a blogger/videographer/YouTuber it's never a bad idea to have something you can carry files and data on!
8) Hair elastics and bobby pins. I cannot eat (enjoyably) with my hair down--random fact about me--so I always have an elastic on me as well as some pins for flyaways! Also, does anyone know anything about the black hole that these babies disappear to?
9) Pen and Sharpie. Always, always, always carry a pen with you. Having a sharpie in my purse has saved my butt so many times at the post office.
10) Blotting Paper. A less messier and faster option than carrying powder around.
11) Lip balm, specifically my Vaseline Lip Therapy Tin. Because CHAPPED LIPS.

Now let's chat a little bit more about these adorable Vaseline Lip Therapy Tins because they are a lifesaver and a half.

Vaseline just launched their Lip Therapy Tins that are clinically proven to help heal dry lips and provide long-lasting moisture. I've already been using straight Vaseline as my lip balm whenever I'm at home because it works the best for me, so you can imagine my excitement when they came out with these on-the-go tins! The new packaging is actually inspired by the brand's original packaging from the 1880s so it has an iconic and covetable vibe to it. I just love how chic it is and how perfectly it fits in the palm of your hand!

The new Lip Therapy Tins come in four different variants: The Original Tin--made with 100% pure Vaseline jelly, The Aloe Tin--made with aloe, The Rosy Lips Tin--contains a rose/vanilla/red berry scent and provides a light tint, and The Cocoa Butter Tin--made with cocoa butter and cocoa/vanilla scent. The Lip Therapy formula is non-sticky, non-greasy and spreads on smoothly to soothe those cracked lips. It gives you lips a nice, natural, glossy shine that is non-comedogenic, hypo-allergenic, and non-irritating! You can't get a better formula than that!

How cute is my personalized little tin??? They don't sell these personalized ones in the stores unfortunately but the packaging for all the tins are already so so sooo adorable.

To celebrate the launch of the Lip Therapy Tins, Vaseline sent me this little cake version of the Original Tin! How creative is that? The cake was made by Made in Heaven Cakes and let me tell you, it tasted pretty dang heavenly. :)

Keep your lips moisturized and refreshed this cold and dry winter with Vaseline Lip Therapy Tins! You can pick up your own tins (maybe one of each?) from your local Target, Target.com, and Vaseline.us! I promise you will not be disappointed and your lips will most definitely thank you.

And ps. what are some of YOUR purse essentials?
I love hearing what different people can't leave the house without!

Have an amazing Thursday!

Cheers.

WATERMELONS FOR DAYS: Look 2

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Tank Top: c/o Oasap
Swimsuit: c/o Oasap
Shorts: old
Sandals: Target

Welcome to Look dos of my WATERMELON FOR DAYS end-of-summer series!
If you missed the first look, view it here.

Today's an outfit I wish I could've worn every day this summer, because it would have meant that I was at the beach every day! This cute watermelon tank top is the perfect swimsuit cover-up and just perfect in general. It's loose, flowy, and screams summer! Also, I am indeed sporting a half up bun today because I realized I need to branch out when it comes to my hairdos (if you noticed I even braided my hair in Monday's post, what whaaat). I used to be able to do so many crazy things with my hair when it was longer (mostly because it had a mind of its own), so I'm trying to figure out the most flattering hairstyles for my shorter hair! So what do you guys think so far? Is the half up bun a thumbs up? .....or down?

Friday we're finishing the series off with a dressy watermelon look!
I know what you're thinking: Watermelons can be dressy??
Well, check back in to see what I put together for the final look!

Also, from this gif, can anyone guess what movie I'm watching right now?
"Joanie loves Chachi!!!"
Seriously, one of my favorite movies ever.

Cheers.

I'm such a dude.

Swimsuit: La Blanca c/o Manhattan Beachwear
Kimono: H&M [similar]
Shorts: old [similar]
Sandals: Target

Today's outfit is very girly, bright, and pink.
Which makes me laugh because if you know me in real life,
you'd know that I am such a dude.

Obviously, I looooooove clothes, makeup, shopping, etc. (or else I wouldn't be a fashion blogger) but if you tuck that away to the side and really get to know me, you'll discover that I'm totally a tomboy.

I burp in public without even thinking twice.
The dress code in my home is the baggiest sweats you can find.
I played basketball and ran track and cross country in high school.
I have an obsession with sunflower seeds.
I'm embarrassed to even say when I took a shower last.
Fast food is a huge chunk of my personal food pyramid.
My home can go from spotless clean to a dirty pigsty in one day (and it's mostly my fault).
A day playing Assassin's Creed and Left for Dead on the Xbox with Connor (or even alone) is a day well spent.

and the list goes on and on.

Don't get me wrong, I promise that my love for fashion and beauty isn't a facade. I love getting dolled up in pretty dresses and going to fancy parties. I just also love dressing down in sweatpants and a messy bun and getting a Big Mac at McDonald's for din din. It's like the best of both worlds (cue Hannah Montana theme song).

I know this post might be a little TMI, but if you wanted to get to know me a little better, voila!

Also, I planned on posting this outfit/picture during Shark Week last week but epically failed.
But better late than never, right?
Jaws ain't got nothing on me.

Cheers.

Samson doesn't like it when I blog.

Bikini Set: c/o Oasap
Top: Volcom [similar]
Shorts: c/o Abaday
Sunglasses: c/o zeroUV
Sandals: Target

The mornings are pretty routine for Samson and I.
We wake up, cuddle in bed for a little bit, then relocate to the living room.

I try to get my blogging out of the way in the morning so I have the rest of the day to run errands/clean the house/watch my TV shows and the nights to hang out with Connor. However, I've noticed that whenever I pull out my laptop and start blogging away, Samson creeps over to me and sprawls out on my lap.

and it's only when I'm blogging.

I could be on Facebook or online shopping and he'll be off chewing his toys or something.
But the moment I open up my blog, it's like his blogger senses start tingling.

He'll come over, plop himself down on my lap so I have to awkwardly use the keyboard around him, or just straight up lie down on my keyboard and stare at me.

So sorry guys, my blog is not Samson approved.
Darn.

"No more blogging, mom. I won't allow it."
As you can tell by what's on my computer screen, this literally happened right as I was putting together this post.

Have a Happy Saturday!

pps. If you have any good vibes to spare, please send them to my home state of Hawaii! Although Iselle didn't hurt them as bad as it was supposed to, a lot of properties and homes were still damaged.

Cheers.
