Everyone else is always early

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite shirts from Mindy Mae's Market! If you're friends with me in real life, you know for a fact that I am ALWAYS late to everything and anything (although in my world, everyone else is simply always early). This shirt is basically the story of my life--in fact, I love it so much, I also have it in white (view that post here)! It's a bonus that it's also super comfy and goes with everything. Today I wore it with an outfit meant for a late night summer bonfire! Next time you're running behind schedule, throw this sweet tee on and when you get to your destination, your shirt will do the talking for ya. ;)

***************************

I've been spending the past week up in Seattle visiting Connor's family and it has been amaaaaazing. Seattle/Issaquah has become one of my favorite places and it's been on my "let's move here one day" list for a while now.

The summers here are particularly lovely because it's SO. INSANELY. PRETTY. The green trees + gorgeous lakes + summer sun = paradise. Yes, this is coming from a girl who was raised in Hawaii. You'll probably shake your head when you read this but I actually prefer lakes over the ocean (only when it comes to swimming--I am still obsessed with that ocean air). I think it's the fact that it's fresh water rather than salt water so I don't feel dirty and sticky whenever I come out from swimming. Connor's fam has a boat we take out whenever we visit and it's probably my favorite summer activity to do while up here.

The little lake above is a 5 minute walk from Connor's house.
Yes. I'm jealous too.

 Cheers.

Hey yoooooo!

Summer time is adventure time (sadly I'm not referring to the TV show)! This is the perfect outfit to wear on those adventures because it's comfy, light, and fun! You can wear it hiking to a waterfall, exploring some caves, or just your every day ordinary adventurous walk to your local shave ice shack. ;)

Today's outfit consists of a couple pieces I got from an online thrift shop called thredUP! I don't know about you, but I love poking around thrift stores and neighborhood consignment shops. There is a thrill that comes with hunting for "hidden gems"-- and even better, finding them! thredUp has thousands of like-new clothing items that are always up to 90% off retail, all year round, making your hunt for those hidden gems that much more affordable and exciting! They've got a great selection of popular brands like J. Crew, Free People, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and more!

Below are the hidden gems I found and got from thredUP--I'm so stoked about them, especially the Free People tank top! It's perfect for a summer day at the beach!
thredUP eliminates the stress of deal hunting by offering consistent discounts every day as well as take out the hassle of going to an actual store by allowing you to shop online (for those days you want to stay makeup-less and in your PJs)!

I'd definitely recommend thredUP the next time you want to find some clothes for a steal!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!
Today we are going boating so hip hip hurrayyyyy!!!!!

Cheers.

Just Breathe

Kimono: c/o Aeropostale
Top: c/o SWELL
Capris: c/o Bella Ella Boutique
Bracelet: c/o Clair Ashley
Necklace: c/o LuLu*s
Sandals: Target

We all have those days where nothing is going right and we want to scream and break down and just lose it. I have my share of those days and moments and something that always helps is listening to one of my favorite songs: "Breathe (2 AM)" by Anna Nalick. It just reminds me that sometimes bad things happen and all we can do about it is just breathe!

So when I saw this adorable "Just Breathe" wrap bracelet from Clair Ashley, I knew I had to have it! A wearable reminder to keep calm and carry on? Yes please! I think we all need that constant reminder to take a deep breath and allow things to work out on its own and Clair Ashley puts a fashionable twist to that reminder! There are even more of these cute bracelets with different encouraging words and phrases in their shop to choose from! View all of them here!

I've been on the prowl (rawr) for a cute pair of capris for a while so I was stoked when I got these from Bella Ella Boutique! They are so casual, comfy, and versatile so they go with everything! Bella Ella has a collection of super cute capris that come in a variety of colors and styles! These specific style of capris come in a light and dark wash, and they also have capris in mint, coral, light blue and plum! Aside from their capris, Bella Ella also has a great selection of clothing and items. I want to own every single one of their dresses--they're all so chic and trendy!

I'm going back to school...

...JUST KIDDING.
I've spent the past 18 years of my life in school, I think I'm good.

But if I were going back to school in the fall, this is an outfit I'd definitely wear! :) It has elements of both fall and summer: a knit cardigan and fedora to represent fall and a fun, bright dress to represent summer. I mean, after all, although school starts up in the fall, we'll still have summer on our minds! Everyone knows the first day of school is a fashion show (whether you're in grade school or college), so dressing your best is essential. Looking cute is important, but also feeling comfortable is a must and this outfit has got both of those down!

If you need a little help with your Back to School shopping, there are some amazing Coupons.com back to school sales that'll save you and your wallet some damage! There is even a Back to School sweepstakes at Coupons.com where you have a chance to win $2,500, along with $100 daily cash winners throughout the month of July. Be sure to check those out!

If you're looking for a good place to shop, Aeropostale has a great selection of back to school clothes! I got both my dress and cardigan from there and I loooove it! Now I have a question for you: Are you who you were a year ago? Nope? Well neither am I! Aero believes you've changed and to keep up, so have they. They represent a generation of NOW and they've evolved into a lifestyle brand that celebrates the independence and individuality of today's youth! Aero has an exciting new campaign that is officially launching TODAY and you can be a part of it!

Aero is revealing the first look at their brand new campaign, #AERONOW, as well as their Back to School collection, in stores today. The shopping event begins at 4pm and I promise you, you won't want to miss it! If you stick around till after 6pm, there might even be an after party ;)

Remember to head over to your local Aero store today at 4pm to be a part of this exciting event!

Although I'm not going back to school in the fall, I still love the thrill of shopping for a new fall wardrobe! I love the warm weather of spring and summer, but my heart just belongs in fall! For some reason I'm always drawn to fall trends and colors: boots, scarves, cardigans, and maroons, olives, and tans. During other seasons I have to force myself not to wear them because I look out of place, so I'm sooooo excited to finally be able to wear these trends when they're in style. ;)

What are some of your favorite Back to School/Fall trends?

Cheers.

Beach Bonfires

Believe it or not, I've never been to a beach bonfire.

Say whaaaaaat? But aren't you from Hawaii? Don't you like, LIVE on the beach??

Well, I've been to the beach (obvi) and I've been to a bonfire, but I've never been to them combined. Fires are actually prohibited on beaches back home sooooo there's that.

Oh. Well. That sucks. You suck.

Yep, I do. :(

Now that I'm done having a depressing conversation with myself, I can actually talk to you about this outfit! As I stated above, I've never been to a beach bonfire before but this is an outfit I would totally wear to one. This white flowy top is a perfect "summer white"piece that is ridiculously comfy and can keep my arms warm if it gets a little chilly (the sleeves fold down). Also, there is something about distressed boyfriend jeans that screams "let's-go-to-the-beach-and-watch-the-sunset-while-we-roast-hotdogs-and-mallows." If you've been following my blog for a while you'll know that my clothes "scream" a lot of things to me from time to time so don't worry, this is normal for me. ;) As a finishing touch, this necklace reminds me of seashells and pebbles and completes this beach bonfire outfit!

The top, jeans, purse, and necklace in this outfit are all from a lovely shop called Impressions Online Boutique! Impressions has a wide variety of super cute clothes at unbeatable prices! They post new arrivals daily so you always have a fresh batch of merchandise to choose from every day!

Just scootin' around on my new scooter.

Swimsuit: La Blanca c/o Manhattan Beachwear
Kimono: c/o StyleGirl
Flower Headband: c/o Tarty Glamour
Shorts: American Eagle
Sandals: c/o LuLu*s
Bracelet: c/o LuLu*s

Hey friends!

Today I'm sharing with you a very pink, very floral beach outfit! I'll admit, pink isn't necessarily my go-to color when choosing outfits and clothing, but I've been trying to expand my wardrobe lately and add some color! Especially during the summer season where everything is so vibrant and bright! This one-piece swimsuit from La Blanca is so fun and chic--you can't help but feel girly when you wear it! The swimsuit's shade of pink always goes perfectly with this Blush Pink Rose Headband from Tarty Glamour. I love how this headband is so versatile--you can wear it as a headband, around a hat, or around your bun!

The finishing piece to this outfit is a super cute kimono from StyleGirl. It's the perfect swimsuit cover-up and goes along with nicely with the flower headband! Can I please just book a ticket home to Hawaii already so I can wear this outfit to the beach? Because I could really use some ocean therapy right about now...

Connor and I have been talking about getting another mode of transportation for a while now. Since Connor works out in Lindon, he needs to take the car every day to get there, leaving me stranded at home with no vehicle! Our friend Tara told us a while back that she wanted to sell her scooter to us so we finally got around to buying it from her!

I've always wanted to a scooter for as long as I can remember so I was sooooo stoked that we finally got one! It's an adorable shade of baby blue and runs like a champ--I'm in love! It's also Samson-approved so that's a definite cherry on top.

(please excuse my gym attire, haha)

Yay for scootin' on scooters!
and thanks Tara for the hook-up!

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Cheers.
